DAIWA Gotetsu 8-51・K Ento
Overview
A specialty rod for long-distance casting to catch large pelagic fish.
A specialty rod for long-distance casting to catch record-class large pelagic fish from the rocky shore. By adding an additional guide to the top section and re-evaluating the overall guide placement, the rod has evolved to bend more firmly down to the butt section than its predecessors, striking a balance to maximize the performance of the blanks. The synergistic effect with V-JOINTα enables effective handling utilizing the rebound force. During the cast, the X45 effect prevents blank distortion, ensuring high operability. The powerful pull of large pelagic fish is countered, and if the fish is weakened, the super high-density, high-strength carbon SVF Nano-Plus, combined with the 3DX effect of the original rod, lifts the target quickly to the sea surface. The rod is equipped with a non-slip foregrip for a firm grip during the fight with large fish, and a large butt cap with reduced stress during handling at the abdomen.
Adding a guide to the fourth position this time has greatly improved the restoration force around the butt section. With the 6-51 long cast, you can handle up to about 10 kg with ease, and it floats up quickly. As for the 8-51 long cast, compared to the previous model, it's slightly more parabolic, making it easier to raise the rod and less likely to get tangled. It's a rod that can handle a direct confrontation with up to 20 kg.
Gotetsu 8-51・K Ento
A high-power model rod designed to target dream catches of over 20kg from rocky shores.
By enhancing its flexibility, this rod bends firmly down to the body, allowing it to withstand intense pulls. With reduced pressure on the leader, there's a higher chance of landing sizes that would typically have been lost.
Equipped with the resilience and torque necessary for head-on battles of strength, it's a robust model capable of enduring fierce encounters with super-sized yellowtail kingfish and the final showdowns along the surf line.
An additional guide has been added to the top section :
By adding a guide to the top section, the rod now has an increased number of support points, resulting in a balanced design that allows for bending with the strong butt section. This enables the full performance potential of the blanks to be realized by effectively bending the fourth guide.
Non-slip foregrip :
A non-slip tube is equipped as standard on the reel seat top. Even when hands are wet, the grip remains stable, allowing for a secure fight with large pelagic fish.
EVA-made End Grip & Round BRC (made by FUJI) Butt Cap :
Equipped with slip-resistant and durable EVA end grip as standard. Features a round FUJI-made BRC butt cap, providing excellent stability during fights with large pelagic fish.
Neck Swing Butt Ring :
Guide alignment marks (#2 to #5) :
Fine-pitch Guide Lock :
#1 is equipped with a fine-pitch guide lock. It prevents the guide from slipping and ensures stable fights.
