Daiwa cooler's new index "KEEP":

The most important thing for a cooler box is how long it retains ice! Daiwa expressed this index as "KEEP○○". "KEEP" calculates the ice residual rate based on the simple method of the JIS standard (JIS S 2048: 2006). Furthermore, the time required for the ice to completely melt is expressed as a value called "KEEP○○".

[What is measurement using the JIS simple method? ]
A cooler box filled with ice cubes equivalent to 25% of the cooler box's capacity was left in a constant temperature room adjusted to an outside temperature of 40°C. After 8 hours, measure the weight of the ice and calculate the remaining percentage of ice.

[What is KEEP conversion? ]
From the remaining rate of ice, the time until the remaining rate reaches 0% is calculated and displayed as a value of "KEEP○○".
