Daiwa cooler's new index "KEEP"
The most important thing for a cooler box is how long it retains ice! Daiwa expressed this index as "KEEP○○". "KEEP" calculates the ice residual rate based on the simple method of the JIS standard (JIS S 2048: 2006). Furthermore, the time required for the ice to completely melt is expressed as a value called "KEEP○○".

[What is measurement using the JIS simple method? ]

A cooler box filled with ice cubes equivalent to 25% of the cooler box's capacity was left in a constant temperature room adjusted to an outside temperature of 40°C.
After 8 hours, measure the weight of the ice and calculate the remaining percentage of ice.

[What is KEEP conversion? ]

From the remaining rate of ice, the time until the remaining rate reaches 0% is calculated and displayed as a value of "KEEP○○".

The value displayed on the cold retention display is only a guide to the cold retention capacity and may differ from the actual cold retention time. The actual cold storage time will vary depending on outside air conditions, ice conditions, the number of times the lid is opened and closed, and other conditions.
