DAIWA 26 Steez SV Light TW 100H
Overview
We wanted to create products that resonate with people who are serious about bass fishing, and for whom bass fishing is at the core of their lifestyle. This product embodies the hidden aspirations of our development team, who aimed to be a heartfelt brand that shares DAIWA's passion for bass fishing through our products and message. To achieve this, we stoically create products using DAIWA's technology and passion. We pour our heart into not just rods, not just reels, but everything you need to take on bass. "STEEZ" is born from the passion of serious bass anglers.
The 26STEEZ SV LIGHT TW features a highly responsive spool for even lower trajectory casts and improved cast accuracy. Available in two gear ratios: 7.8 and 9.2, the fastest in the series. The 7.8 gear ratio makes it an all-rounder that can handle both casting and reeling fishing styles. The 9.2 gear ratio ensures a reeling rate of 92cm per handle rotation, providing not only quick handling but also powerful capabilities for quickly retrieving line slack and pulling fish out of cover. The tapered TWS line guide works in synergy with the SV BOOST to support line extension in the latter half of the cast. This ultimate lightweight, versatile model truly shines in high-pressure fields where complex, precise casting is required.
In 2018, under the supervision of Toshinari Namiki, the SV LIGHT LTD was born, featuring the first φ32mm SV LIGHT spool. This reel embodied Namiki's desire to "come closer to a bait-based finesse reel while retaining the advantages of an SV reel." Not only does it offer versatility in any situation, it also delivers a casting feel on par with a dedicated finesse reel. It truly combines the best of both BF and SV. Eight years later, the 26STEEZ SV LIGHT TW, equipped with a new φ32mm SV LIGHT spool, was born. The synergistic effect of SV BOOST, which provides a long line in the latter half of the cast, the newly designed low-inertia spool, and the high-performance Tapered TWS line release all combine to elevate the unique casting performance of this rod. "Lightweight, finesse-oriented lures fly with a low trajectory, almost like an arrow piercing the line. It's an amazing feeling," Namiki exclaimed. But its unique casting feel isn't the only feature. It also boasts improved compatibility with lightweight lures. Fishing techniques previously performed with bait-based finesse models can now be performed with thicker lines without any difficulty, while still maintaining its compatibility with heavier lures. This is the ultimate light versatility: the 26STEEZ SV LIGHT TW, a new form of SV CONCEPT (super versatile).

SV BOOST
The synergistic effect of SV BOOST, a shallow spool, and Tapered TWS delivers a low trajectory and long line in the latter half of the cast. The line doesn't float even with a little effort, and it stretches even with a light cast. This characteristic allows you to quietly deliver lures from a greater distance, even deep inside overhanging bodies or to targeted pinpoints, with reduced water impact noise. This performance really shines in more severe fishing conditions, leading to more reliable catches.

SV LIGHT Spool
The spool weight after spooling* is approximately 14.8% lighter (compared to the 24STEEZ SV TW). Approximately 22% less inertia allows for a lower trajectory cast. (Compared to the 24STEEZ SV TW) The lower trajectory and increased stretch later in the cast allow for a longer approach to the target spot. In today's demanding bass fishing environment, the difference in approach can make or break your catch.

G1 Duralumin Spool
G1 duralumin is a special aluminum alloy that boasts twice the strength of magnesium and 1.3 times the strength of extra-super duralumin. This ultra-lightweight material maintains exceptional rigidity, making it the highest grade of lightweight alloy, also used in aircraft structural components and precision instruments. To achieve the same strength, the spool's winding surface is thinned without blanking, allowing for an overwhelmingly lighter feel. The lightness delivers exceptional rotational response, while the high rigidity delivers unparalleled precision.

Tapered TWS
This rod features a Tapered TWS design to minimize line release resistance during casting, or "expand the no-resistance range." In addition to expanding the no-resistance range, the special DLC surface treatment maximizes line release performance.
DAIWA continues to refine its unique technologies, pursuing a casting feel that "makes you want to cast again and again."

HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR's first 9.2 gear ratio lineup
A new model with a 92cm handle rotation has been added. Not only does it improve reel speed, it's also effective for quickly retrieving line slack and pulling fish out of cover. It's especially advantageous when fishing with a long cast.

Oil Injection Cap
With the sub-brake-less design, the zero adjuster has been eliminated. The 26STEEZ SV LIGHT TW is equipped with an oil injection cap.
The cap can be removed using the included special tool. Removing the cap allows for oiling and maintenance of the pinion ball bearing.

Solid Pinion
Compared to conventional hollow pinions, the solid structure of the pinion, achieved using UCD (ULTIMATE CASTING DESIGN), is more resistant to the stresses experienced when the gears are tightly meshed, achieving a strength increase of over 20% for the same diameter and gear ratio. The increased pinion strength creates a highly rigid gear system that doesn't rely on increased gear diameter, significantly improving the rotational durability of the HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR, already renowned for its strength.

Aluminum Star Drag
Equipped with a star drag designed for superior maneuverability. Even the ratchet structure has been redesigned. Even the sound of each click of adjustment has been carefully considered, resulting in a resonant, subtle star drag adjustment click.

Drag Pull-Out Click
Pursuing high drag performance for catching big fish, we aimed for not only maximum drag but also the smoothest operation in its class, following the fish's pull. Furthermore, it features a drag pull-out click. The audible alert of the line system's tightest grip against a sudden fish charge provides a significant advantage to anglers.
