DAIWA 20 Alphas Air TW 8.6R
Overview
TWS (T-WING SYSTEM)
The T-shaped level wind rotates back and forth half a turn depending on whether the clutch is ON or OFF. When casting, the level wind rotates forward, and the line is released smoothly through the wide part of the T-shaped level wind. When retrieving, the level wind rotates half a turn in a backward direction, and the line is guided into the groove at the bottom of the level wind and wound tightly and parallel. Daiwa's unique level wind system that combines line release performance and trouble-free operation.
UTD (Ultimate Tournament Drag)
It eliminates the initial bite when the drag starts to work, and while achieving smoothness without sticking (unevenness), it also has maximum drag force that works the more you tighten it.
Air Brake System
A brake system that significantly improves accuracy performance while achieving extremely little backlash and stress-free usability. The combination of a lightweight inductor rotor structure and a lightweight spool significantly improves the rotation response of the spool unit. At the same time, the setting aims for a synergistic effect with the effective mag brake, which has a clear on and off, so the brake works well during full casts, but the inductor rotor does not pop out during low rotation such as pitching, allowing you to shoot with a low trajectory. In other words, the spool stands up sharply even with a small force, and the lure flies surprisingly well without any effort, but on the other hand, the brake is applied firmly to the backlash zone that occurs due to tension. As a result, with the same brake setting, pitching and casting can be done at a high level at the same time.
Extreme Finesse Ultra Small Diameter Spool 28mm AIR Spool
Ultimate Finesse Performance
AIR Spool for Finesse
Equipped with an ultra-lightweight micro BB to accommodate ultra-lightweight lures.
Zero Shaft
The spool is only supported by the BB. The shaftless design eliminates excess resistance and allows for ideal spool rotation.
In other words, it is the key to a high-output engine that prioritizes casting performance.
The spool mechanism, formerly known as the speed shaft, has been renamed to "zero shaft" in 2021.
Zero Adjuster
First, adjust the "zero adjuster" and set the "zero spool rattle", and the evolution of the magnetic brake makes it possible to control all lures with just the mag dial.
