APIA Grandage Atlas Blue Runner 93HH+/JS

Overview

The three series structure:

  • BLUE RUNNER targeting blue fish such as amberjack and yellowtail
  • C-SAFARI targeting large blue fish like GT (giant trevally) and dogtooth tuna
  • BLACKFIN for sea bass and other tough species

As GRANDAGE moves towards its second generation, the biggest change is, of course, in the blank.
The blank, made mainly of "T1100G" and "M40X" next-generation carbon, featured in the flagship model Foojin'Z, is constructed with Toray's third-generation carbon materials.
These are the first major technological innovations in 40 years for Toray, bringing significant advantages for shore rods as well.
In addition to the blanks, various new technologies have also been adopted.

GRANDAGE ATLAS has once again brought a breakthrough for shore rods with its cutting-edge technology.

BLANK:
Third-generation TORAYCA® Carbon that transforms the Rock Shore Game

With the emergence of "M40X" and "T1100G," the performance of high-modulus (M40X) and medium-modulus (T1100G) materials has significantly improved. The arrival of third-generation TORAYCA® carbon will bring a dramatic change to the rock shore game.
Note: "T1100G" is installed in all models. "M40X" is only used in the Blackfin series.

JOINT:
APIA’s New NANO JOINT Technology, Bringing Two-Piece Rods Closer to One-Piece Performance

APIA has developed a new joint system called "NANO JOINT," which eliminates the stiffness at the rod joint, a common weakness of two-piece rods. By incorporating NANO ALLOY® technology, it achieves a bending curve that closely resembles that of a one-piece rod.

EXTERIOR:
APIA Original Finish to Protect the Blank from Unavoidable Scratches

APIA’s original finish, "Shield Tech," features a thin, highly abrasion-resistant special tape wrapped along the entire length of the blank. This protects the rod from external damage and minor scratches.

WARRANTY:
APIA Premium Warranty

This product is covered by a premium warranty for five years after production has ended, allowing for unlimited repairs with a deductible fee.
Note: The premium warranty becomes void if the warranty card is lost.

[Storage Precautions]
If the rod gets wet, immediately wipe off any moisture with a dry towel.
Storing the rod while wet or in high-temperature and humid environments may cause blistering on the painted surface.

BLUE RUNNER for Pelagic Game:
A versatile series for targeting pelagic species from rocky shores to breakwaters.

The GRANDAGE ATLAS BLUE RUNNER series is designed for targeting large pelagic fish from the shore, serving as the successor to the GRANDAGE XD series. By utilizing TORAYCA® T1100G, Toray's third-generation carbon, as the main material for the blank, this series offers improved casting distance and resilience compared to previous models. Every aspect, from rod balance to joint design and exterior finish, has been upgraded to enhance performance. The GRANDAGE ATLAS BLUE RUNNER was created specifically for anglers to land trophy-sized pelagic fish under the challenging conditions of rocky shores.

JS - Jig Special
Designed for exceptional sensitivity to detect subtle bites, even in fast currents, the Jig Special (JS) model offers a significant advantage in rock shore games that require repetitive casting. This is achieved through the remarkable casting distance and smooth rod handling made possible by the incorporation of Toray's third-generation carbon "T1100G". With a length of 9'3", the rod allows for continuous jig operation with ease and makes it easier to lift larger fish. Additionally, the JS is not limited to jigging—it also performs well for plugging, making it a versatile short rod for rock shore fishing.
