APIA Foojin RS Majestic Surf S106M
Overview
Foojin’RS
“DEFINE THE FUTURE”
The new Foojin’RS is built primarily with Torayca® 3rd-generation carbon M40X and T1100G, achieving both outstanding toughness and supple yet powerful elasticity.
In addition, the advanced structural technology “X-FORCE100”, which brought innovation with the Foojin’Z 6th Generation, is newly adopted in the RS series as well. This delivers a highly linear, precise, and powerful casting feel together with exceptional operational responsiveness.
Toward a performance realm that was once considered ideal—but out of reach.
NEW Foojin’RS embodies the future of seabass rods. This is not merely an evolution; it is a next-generation answer that redefines the very essence of a fishing rod.
FEATURES
BLANK
One of the defining characteristics of the NEW Foojin’RS is its elastic blank that seamlessly connects strong rebound power with high flexibility.
The blank is constructed using cutting-edge materials—Torayca® 3rd-generation carbon M40X and T1100G—and formed with the X-FORCE100 manufacturing process introduced in the Foojin’Z 6th Generation.
This highly resilient blank faithfully reflects the RS design philosophy, delivering stable and consistent castability regardless of angler skill level.
X-FORCE100
100.0% Carbon Content
A new technology that suppresses torsion and maximizes performance.
X-FORCE100 is APIA’s proprietary technology first introduced in the Foojin’Z 6th Generation.
Conventional methods suppress torsion by layering multiple prepregs with carbon fibers oriented in various directions. In contrast, X-FORCE100 forms carbon fibers crossed at a highly torsion-resistant 45° angle using a single prepreg sheet.
Furthermore, APIA succeeded in eliminating the glass scrim traditionally used as a backing material for reinforcement prepregs.
This innovation resulted in a 100% pure carbon seabass rod.
Key Advantages
- 45° cross carbon fibers formed in a single prepreg sheet for superior torsional rigidity
- Dramatic reduction of carbon twist, a major cause of power loss
- Improved vibration transmission with reduced tip shake and enhanced sensitivity thanks to a 100% pure carbon construction
- Consistent manufacturing quality through improved production uniformity
M46X
Torayca® 3rd-generation ultra-high modulus 46t carbon fiber, announced in 2024.
This newly developed high-strength 46t material achieves compressive and bending strength comparable to conventional 40t carbon.
It contributes to increased casting speed and faster tip recovery, generating flex and return at speeds only visible through super slow-motion imaging.
Resin: #2574 (Nanoalloy®).
Note: M46X is used only in DESIRE S95MH and CRESTER C93M.
M40X
Exceptional sensitivity and control with zero unnecessary vibration
A 40t high-modulus carbon fiber developed for rockets and next-generation aircraft.
While maintaining the same modulus as M40J, compressive strength has been increased by 30%.
This material enhances rebound performance and casting speed.
Resin: #2574 (Nanoalloy®).
T1100G
The world’s strongest carbon fiber—unmatched strength and power
A 33t intermediate-modulus carbon fiber developed for aerospace, rockets, and F1 applications.
It boasts the highest tensile strength currently available among carbon fibers.
Beyond strength, it also contributes to faster rod acceleration during casting and a smooth, progressive bend.
Resin: #2574 (Nanoalloy®).
JOINT
NANO JOINT
Further evolution of APIA technology.
NANO JOINT is an APIA-original joint system utilizing Nanoalloy® technology to eliminate stiffness at joint sections—a common weakness of two-piece rods.
All NEW Foojin’RS models adopt a put-in joint design, achieving superior strength, weight reduction, balance, and bending curve, surpassing even traditional spigot joints.
The joint taper difference is finished with ultra-high-precision grinding (2–5/1000 mm), significantly reducing loosening during fishing.
Notes:
- Due to ultra-precise grinding, use the joint as-is without adjustment.
- If the joint becomes stuck, carbon expansion may be the cause. Cooling the joint area with ice to induce contraction will help with removal.
EXTERIOR
SHIELD TECH Light
To protect the lightweight and sensitive blank, Shield Tech Light, a special tape that prevents minor scratches, is applied.
Combined with an unsanded finish, it achieves both a durable exterior and maximum sensitivity.
WARRANTY
APIA Premium Warranty
Until 5 years after production of this model has ended, repairs are available an unlimited number of times with a fixed deductible.
Please note:
If the warranty card is lost, the premium warranty becomes invalid.
Storage Notice
If the rod becomes wet, wipe it dry promptly with a clean towel.
Storing the rod while wet or in high-temperature, high-humidity environments may cause blistering on the painted surface.
