Salt Shield TM Bearings

Compact asymmetrical body
The newly developed body has completely different appearances on the left and right sides. In spinning reels, the main gear that is connected to the handle shaft and rotates is only on the left side. The design is focused on simply covering the main gear, and has a shape that thoroughly eliminates unnecessary space. As a result, a lightweight and compact body has been achieved without reducing the thickness or strength of the material.

Large diameter drive gear

Friction-Free
A new structure that makes winding the handle lighter by improving the support structure of the main shaft. Even large fish can be actively wound up with "one more turn".
In the conventional structure, the main shaft moved back and forth while rubbing against the inner surface of the pinion gear that turns the rotor, and this "rubbing" friction made winding heavy.
The support structure of the main shaft that moves the spool back and forth has been significantly improved, and the main shaft is supported on the reel body with a high-sliding bush. There is a gap between the rotating pinion gear and the main shaft that moves back and forth, and by eliminating contact friction on the inside of the gear part (friction-free), winding is made lighter.

One-piece DURAMETAL™ integrated body
We have succeeded in integrating the body cover (side plate) that was used in conventional reels into the body. By optimizing the size and weight of the entire body and adopting a one-piece DuraMetal™ (aluminum alloy) body, the drive gear is supported by a single part, which contributes to improving the optimal gear feeling without the axis center being misaligned.

C6 V-Rotor
The newly developed C6 V-Rotor achieves light weight and low moment of inertia without sacrificing strength thanks to its small diameter arbor and V-shaped wings. Therefore, the rotation "smoothly rotates and stops abruptly".

V-spool design
The skirt part of the spool is mainly used to prevent the loose thread from wrapping around the spool shaft when the thread wound on the spool becomes loose. The new V-spool design achieves significant weight reduction by making this skirt part thinner.

Aluminum Uniflow Veil
Lightweight by using high-strength aluminum alloy. By smoothing the shape of the veil joint, troubles such as thread tangling around the veil can be drastically reduced.

Rocket Line Management SystemTM
1. Spool design - Abu Garcia's unique rocket spool lip releases the line from the spool more smoothly and evenly.
2. Oscillation system - The slow oscillation system allows the line to be wound onto the spool more smoothly and evenly at the optimal winding angle.
