ABU GARCIA Zenon MG-X 2500MS

A US import model of the "ultra-lightweight, ultra-high sensitivity" spinning reel ZENON, born from an innovative new shape.

Compact asymmetrical body
The newly developed body has completely different appearances on the left and right sides. In spinning reels, the main gear that rotates connected to the handle shaft is only on the left side. The shape focuses on simply covering this main gear, thoroughly eliminating unnecessary space. As a result, a lightweight and compact body has been achieved without reducing the thickness or strength of the material.

Friction-Free
A new structure that makes winding up the handle lighter by improving the support structure of the main shaft. Even for large fish, you can actively wind up "one more turn". In the conventional structure, the main shaft moved back and forth while rubbing the inner surface of the pinion gear that turns the rotor, and this "rubbing" friction made winding up heavy. The support structure of the main shaft that moves the spool back and forth has been significantly improved, and the main shaft is supported on the reel body by a high-sliding bush. There is a gap between the rotating pinion gear and the main shaft that moves back and forth, eliminating contact friction with the inside of the gear (friction-free), making winding easier.

Salt Shield Bearings
By adopting a newly developed ball bearing with a water-repellent coating applied to the entire inside and outside, the salt jamming phenomenon that causes abnormal rotation noise is greatly reduced. We have succeeded in significantly improving the rotation feel and durability.
HPCR Bearings
The bearings are made of high-performance corrosion-resistant material, improving durability, smoothness, and corrosion resistance. They will improve performance in any fishing situation.

One-piece X-Mag Alloy Body
By integrating the body cover (side plate) used in conventional reels into the body, we have succeeded in making it a one-piece body.
Since the drive gear is supported by a single part, the axis does not wobble, contributing to an optimal gear feeling.
By adopting X-Mag Alloy material, we have succeeded in reducing the weight of the body itself.

AM Gearing
The high-strength aluminum gears are precision machined using Abu Garcia's unique manufacturing method, achieving unprecedented smoothness and durability.
COG Gear Design
Abu Garcia's unique computer analysis technology has optimized the gear tooth shape. It provides ultimate smoothness in any fishing situation.

V-Rotor
The small diameter arbor and V-shaped wings have achieved light weight and low moment of inertia without sacrificing strength. Therefore, the rotation is "smooth and stops perfectly".

Air-Fin spool
The skirt part of the spool is mainly to prevent the loose thread from wrapping around the spool shaft when the thread wound on the spool becomes loose. The new Air-Fin spool has a fin-shaped skirt part and uses plated engineering plastic to achieve significant weight reduction.

Carbon Matrix Drag
Abu Garcia's unique carbon matrix drag washer allows for higher drag force while maintaining smooth performance over a wide range.

DuraCarbon Carbon Handle
The handle arm is made of a highly elastic carbon material that is laminated to achieve high strength, light weight and improved sensitivity.

Sinker keeper included
Can be used as a sinker for downshot rigs, or as a keeper for jig heads, spoons, and other small lures.
