DAIWA 23 Airity LT3000-H

Overview

The ultra-lightweight spinning reel "AIRITY" has achieved both unprecedented lightness and strength.

The LT2500S weighs 150g, the lightest in weight in DAIWA history. At the same time, it also achieved "lightness other than its own weight". It has a light rotation feel that gives you a sense of unity with the tackle and an optimal weight balance that does not weigh you down. The core technology is "Air Drive Design". It is a design concept of the next generation spinning reel that pursues the angler's desire to operate the lure at will, and is composed of up to four technologies. By fully equipping it with the Air Drive Design, it is possible to achieve a high level of improvement in reeling performance and rod operability. The response that responds obediently to the angler's will enhances the joy of fishing. While penetrating lightness, there is no compromise in the commitment to strength. What is incorporated there is the origin of Daiwa's reel design, "lightness without sufficient fishing performance is meaningless". One of the technologies that inherits this belief is the monocoque body with a one-piece molded structure. A solid foundation that suppresses deflection and distortion and produces powerful winding. Magnesium is used as the material. Inside is the Tough Digigear that produces smooth and quiet rotation. A special surface treatment that increases the gear hardness has been applied to improve durability so that the initial performance will last longer. Waterproof and dustproof are also ensured, and Daiwa's unique waterproof and durable technology, Magseal, is installed in the pinion and line roller parts. The drag is equipped with ATD TYPE-L, which reduces the load on the line and allows you to enjoy the fight with peace of mind with a smooth and stable start. The spool is a collection of Daiwa technology, including the LC-ABS, which has achieved an increase in casting distance of about 5% by reviewing the lip shape. A high-dimensional fusion of "AIR = lightness" and "REALITY = truth and practicality". An ultra-lightweight spinning reel with advanced fishing performance. From light games to light shore jigging, AIRITY gives you the freedom and fun of being one with your tackle.

AIRDRIVE ROTOR (made by ZAION) "Why we pursue low inertia?"
DAIWA continues to work on improving the rotation response of spinning reel rotors. Based on its own theory, DAIWA has derived a new shape that looks as if it was cut out directly from a sphere. By thoroughly removing unnecessary material from the shape, it has succeeded in significantly reducing the weight while maintaining its rigidity. This has dramatically improved the lightness of winding, which leads to improved operability and sensitivity. In addition, the new shape and screw-free exterior improve line trouble-free performance and make it even more stress-free to use.

Compared to the 21L.AIRITY air rotor, the rotor unit is approximately 16% (※1) lighter (compared to the 2500 model) and has a maximum of approximately 16% (※2) lower inertia
* The comparison value of the weight reduction varies depending on the size.
** The calculated value of the inertia force varies depending on the size and is maximized with the 2500 model.

AIRDRIVE BAIL "Even more trouble-free"
For many years, the Air Veil installed on DAIWA spinning reels has adopted a hollow pipe structure that provides lightness and rigidity. Furthermore, its unique shape smoothly guides the line to the line roller, enabling trouble-free winding. The Air Drive Veil has been made thinner while maintaining the necessary strength to achieve further weight reduction. In addition, the veil angle is set to the optimum angle to allow the line to transition more smoothly from the veil to the line roller. This not only supports the performance of the Air Drive Rotor, but also makes it even lighter and more trouble-free.

Compared to the 21L.AIRITY Air Veil, the weight is approximately 1g (approximately 33%) lighter (compared to the 2500 model) and the veil diameter is smaller from 3mm to 2.4mm.

AIRDRIVE SPOOL "New design reflecting the future"
Based on meticulous strength calculations, unnecessary material has been thoroughly removed to achieve a thin-walled design that is extremely lightweight. Not only the thin-walled design of the line winding section and spool skirt, but also the hollowing out of the inside of the spool is completely uncompromising. The lighter spool improves ease of winding and casting. In addition, a new drag sound mechanism with less operating resistance has been developed. This improves response when the drag is activated.

Compared to the 21L.AIRITY spool, it maintains the clicking sound when the drag is pulled out while reducing operating resistance.

AIRDRIVE SHAFT "The force you apply is directly transferred to the rotor"
The linear shaft that DAIWA has been using in its spinning reels is a system that eliminates frictional resistance by making the main shaft non-contact with the pinion. The Air Drive Shaft also supports both ends of the pinion with ball bearings, making it possible to transfer the power input from the handle to the rotational force of the rotor to the maximum extent possible. In addition, by supporting the main shaft with a high-precision collar, it has been possible to thoroughly reduce rotational noise.

*SF is a linear shaft specification .

MONOCOQUE BODY "Lightness and strength bring infinite possibilities"
The monocoque structure is a structure in which the body itself has the rigidity of a frame, is resistant to twisting and bending, and realizes space saving. It is used in rockets and F1 machines, which require durability and space efficiency under extreme conditions. Its effect is also tremendous in spinning reels. By eliminating the need for space to fix the screws, the size of the drive gear relative to the body dimensions is expanded to the maximum. It is now possible to store a large-diameter drive gear that actually occupies about 85% of the body area. In other words, a body of the same size as before can store a huge gear, and if the gear size is the same as before, a very compact body can be realized. It is a technology with infinite possibilities to make strong things lighter, and it is a lightweight and strong technology that can be said to be the core of Daiwa's "LT" LIGHT & TOUGH spinning reels. AIRITY uses a full metal (Mg) monocoque body that achieves a high level of lightness and rigidity.

MAGSEALED
Daiwa's unique waterproof structure creates a wall of magnetic oil to keep out seawater and dust, and maintain the light and smooth initial rotation performance for a long time. This technology is installed in the pinion and line roller parts of the AIRITY (※SF does not have a Magseal line roller). It further improves waterproofness, durability, and rotation performance, achieving high waterproofness.

Super duralumin MC (machine cut) Tough Digigear "Precise meshing creates power"
The drive gear, the most important part of a reel, requires three essential elements (design concept, processing technology, and gear material). The MC Tough Digigear made of ultra-super duralumin mounted on the AIRITY is made of a material that is cold forged to a high strength, and is machine cut with high precision to create the ideal gear. In addition, the drive gear is specially surface treated to increase the surface hardness of the gear, reducing the adverse effects caused by sudden force. Furthermore, for the large-sized PC LT3000, LT4000, and LT5000-C XH gear models, which are expected to be subjected to high loads on the gear, we have newly adopted a high-strength pinion gear that has been proven in Saltiga and other models to ensure safety.

ATD TYPE-L "Different tracking capabilities"
The ATD TYPE-L improves the initial response of spinning reels while retaining the ATD's characteristic of working smoothly in response to the pull of the fish. It has been tuned to provide the smooth start required when using light lines, further reducing the load on the line and allowing you to land the fish in a short time without causing excessive stress to the fish.

High-grip I-type finesse knob
Adopted "High-grip I-type finesse knob" that matches delicate fishing. Lightweight knob with hollowed out surface allows reeling with light force and contributes to improved winding sensitivity. High-grip specification ensures firm grip performance and easy grip despite its small size and light weight. In pursuit of weight reduction, an integrated knob cap structure is adopted.

*Please use a 2.5mm hex wrench to remove the handle knob.
*Standard equipment on SF1000S-P, SF2000SS-P, and SF2000SS-H.

Stopperless body "Even lighter and more trouble-free"
The body structure has been simplified by removing the stopper. The decision to remove the stopper, which is a route for water and foreign objects to enter, not only reduces weight and improves waterproof performance, but also minimizes the risk of sudden trouble when fishing in harsh environments or with large fish, which are required of AIRITY.

The pinnacle of finesse, "AIRITY SF"
"AIRITY" is an ultra-lightweight spinning reel that combines lightness and strength at a high level. The AIRITY incorporates the "SF (Super Finesse) Concept" that takes anglers to an unexplored zone. It is a spinning reel design concept that allows precise control down to the millimeter, far beyond the finesse of the past. It inherits Daiwa technology that supports the basic performance of AIRITY, such as the Air Drive design, which is the design concept of the next-generation spinning reel, full metal (Mg) monocoque body, and Mag Sealed, and tunes it to the limit. It is thoroughly compact and lightweight, even to the point of abandoning some of the durability and versatility and limiting the targets and usable lines. Its weight is an astonishing 135g (compared to the 2500 model), the lightest in the history of Daiwa spinning reels. What it gives you is the unknown realm of super finesse that goes beyond finesse. "Maneuverability" that allows you to control the lure as you imagine. For those competing in tournaments, the AIRITY SF offers the strength to win in the fiercest of finesse scenes. For those who seek the freedom and joy of fishing, the AIRITY SF offers a sense of unity that perfectly matches their sensibilities.

Differences between AIRITY SF and AIRITY LT

1. Significant weight reduction (lightest in the history of DAIWA 2500 series)
By making the body about 20% more compact, a significant weight reduction has been achieved (LT2500S = 150g, SF2500SS = 135g)

2. Sensitivity increased by about 16%
Vibration transmission performance has been improved by designing internal parts specifically for SF, such as a smaller diameter main shaft.

3. Drag performance
Improved by about 20% The shortened spool suppresses the variation in resistance when releasing the line.
Furthermore, by changing the maximum drag force to 3kg, the adjustment range in the low drag range, which is important in finesse fishing, has been expanded, allowing for more optimal drag fine-tuning.

4. About 7% increase in flight distance
The combination of the ultra-lightweight tackle SF2500SS and STEEZ RC61L-SV increases the swing speed by about 12% compared to existing tackle.
This improves the long cast performance of lightweight lures. When casting to the same distance, you can cast with less force, which also improves cast accuracy.

Precautions for using the SF series

1. Do not wind the line with strong tension.
When winding the line, we recommend winding it with the recommended line tension. (*Recommended tension: 100g for nylon, fluoro, and ester lines, 200g for PE lines)
Winding the line with excessive tension can lead to deformation of the spool and rotation problems.

2. We recommend setting the drag to 800g or less.
Winding the line under high load can lead to rotation problems.
Please be especially careful when reeling in the lure when removing a snag from a reel, or retrieving a lure that has become covered in seaweed.
Also, please note that excessive tightening of the drag knob may lead to damage.

3. Although it was developed with nylon, fluoro, and ester lines up to about 4lb, or PE lines up to about 0.6, the strength standard is specialized for SF (super finesse), so please use with care.
