This hybrid line is made of Vectran (high strength polyarylate fiber) and 8-strand ultra-fine stainless steel wire. It is hard to break, so it reduces wear and tear on the tackle. Also, while a hard wire makes the fish wary and less likely to bite, the wire that can be tied is flexible and does not easily become kinked, so it is less likely to cause discomfort.
