Brand Concept

"When I was in middle school, I received my first fishing set with a reel as a gift to celebrate my enrollment. With no knowledge at the time, I was determined to 'catch anything with this tackle!' and ventured to the sea, rivers, and ponds frequently. That was the beginning of my fishing journey.

Even during my active fighting career, I would sneak out to fish after practice, sometimes earning the wrath of my trainer—though eventually, I even brought him along! Fishing with the TULALA team members became a regular part of my life, providing mental support during my peak as a fighter.

Every time I arrived at a fishing spot, I felt the same mix of excitement and nervousness: What if I actually hook a monster? What if I get to face the boss of these waters? That childlike thrill never faded.

Fulfilling such childhood dreams as an adult feels like a responsibility—embracing the kind of fun people might call 'childish' and making it a reality. That's why I knew I wanted to create rods. Since TULALA's rods feature fish illustrations, I insisted on including the marlin, a fish I admired as a child. These rods are like samurai swords—crafted to make anglers feel ready to face any opponent that comes their way.

The First "United" Series

The inaugural MMA "United" series is a pack rod designed for battling monstrous fish both at home and abroad. Prioritizing strength, the rod fits into suitcases or short rod cases rather than strictly adhering to airline carry-on dimensions.

Inspired by the bend and thickness of a seabass rod, the United series avoids the typical strength compromises of 4-piece rods. Years of refinement have resulted in a tough, reliable rod that doesn’t require sacrifices in performance.
