SHIMANO 20 Twin Power C2000S

This model is equipped with a metal rotor that suppresses bending, distortion, and twisting, bringing together the idea of simplicity and robustness that has been pursued for many years. In combination with the HAGANE body, it has achieved an excessive sense of rigidity and durability. Furthermore, the highly rigid metal rotor creates a stable winding feel reminiscent of Stella, and enables permanently smooth reeling. Not only that, but the casting performance has also been improved by adopting a new long stroke spool. It has evolved into a tough machine that can be used with confidence in any situation, and a new history has been created.

Metal rotor
The metal rotor, which has high rigidity and moderate sensitivity, achieves a moist and smooth rotation feeling. In addition, it suppresses bending and distortion, contributing to improved hooking and drag performance.

HAGANE body
A highly rigid body that can withstand unexpected impacts.
Spinning reels, which are subject to high loads when winding, require high rigidity in the reel foot and the entire body. The HAGANE body is a lightweight metal body that suppresses concerns about impacts in harsh environments and power loss due to bending and twisting. Its overwhelming strength will continue to support anglers in their battles.

HAGANE Gear
To an even stronger gear system.
HAGANE Gear has been installed in many Shimano spinning reels so far. The new Twin Power is equipped with a newly designed HAGANE Gear. This has achieved a reel gear strength that is one size larger.

X-Protect
Smoothness and waterproofness, neither of which can be compromised.
By combining the water-repellent effect and labyrinth structure, waterproof performance that can withstand water pressure without compromising the lightness of rotation is achieved. The parts installed are the line roller and body (roller clutch) parts. In particular, the durability of the line roller has increased by more than five times (compared to our conventional products).

Micro module gear
Light and smooth. A gem of a gear feel.
Micro module gear evolved by the most advanced tooth surface design and Shimano's unique manufacturing technology. The design of each tooth surface of the gear teeth was reviewed to pursue the ideal tooth shape. We also achieved a reduction in noise and an improvement in smooth gear feeling.

Silent Drive
A sense of quiet unity with thorough attention to detail.
The basic design of the entire body and each drive-related part were reviewed one by one, and minute rattles, gaps, and vibrations between parts were thoroughly eliminated down to the smallest detail. The areas subject to improvement are wide-ranging, including the drive gear, worm shaft, worm shaft pin, and worm shaft gear. A new dimension of smooth rotation performance and quiet winding comfort have been achieved.

Long stroke spool
The long stroke spool is also installed in the NEW Twin Power. The C3000 size achieves a flight distance increase of about 5% compared to the previous model. (Based on our flight distance test in a dome) The NEW Twin Power may be able to reach that point where lures usually cannot reach.
AR-C Spool
This spool is lightweight using Shimano's unique processing technology to achieve the two goals of "no trouble" and "increased casting distance." The special shape of the spool ring creates a "line straightening effect" that allows the line to be released in the best possible condition.

How to use washers
1000 to 4000 sizes use felt washers for a smooth start, while C5000 uses cross carbon washers for durability.

Newly designed bail opening and closing mechanism
We pursue a smooth feeling when opening. The opening and closing angle is wide and feathering is improved. It also prevents the bail from turning back unexpectedly.

Newly designed line clip
We use a new clip shape that is easy to remove and has improved holding power. It can be used for a wide range of lines, from 0.2 ester to 40 pound fluorocarbon.

NEW Low-friction roller clutch
The NEW Twin Power is equipped with a low-friction, compact roller clutch. It reduces resistance and achieves lighter rotation than the previous model.
