In the Japanese range of Shimano reels, the name Sephia does not indicate a specific model or even a specific price level, but the purpose of the reel for fishing with E-GEE - a special bait for cephalopods. Such reels are usually designed for thin braided line and have small spools with a relatively weak brake, as well as characteristic round handles. In our conditions, they are interesting for light jigging, fishing with small wobblers. Sephia BB is the youngest model in the line. There is also a fairly expensive and ultra-light Shimano Sephia CI4. From a technical point of view, the Shimano Sephia BB reel can be considered a "squid modification of the Ultegra Advance model: both are almost identical in design, and their price is the same. The letter S indicates a shallow spool. In total, the reel uses five open A-RB ball bearings.
