The brake unit has been eliminated from the spool unit. This is the lightest spool in Shimano's history with no waste (7.2g spool weight excluding BB). This allows for a lower trajectory approach when pitching, which is the original way of using bait finesse.

At the time of shipment, a total of six magnets are installed, three on each side. By installing the included magnets, you can increase the number to a maximum of eight. It can also be used when casting lures with very high air resistance or when maximum stability is required in strong winds.

A completely new idea has been realized to control the magnet position according to the rotation speed. This has succeeded in approaching the centrifugal brake characteristics that Shimano has been pursuing, making it possible to handle everything from pitching to overhead without any trouble.

By adopting the FTB (finesse tune brake system), it is easier to cast lighter lures than ever before, and it is easier to control any cast, from pitching to overhead casting.
The magnet movement mechanism, which changes depending on the rotation speed, works like a centrifugal brake, braking at the initial speed and extending in the latter half, so even light lures can be cast with a lower trajectory.
