A new-generation borderless bait that is easy to handle and resistant to corrosion.

The all-round bait Calcutta, equipped with "S A-RB" ball bearings and able to withstand use in the sea, has been fully remodeled. X-drag, which places the drag on the outside of the handle, brings the handle closer to the body, reducing shaking during retrieval. The S-compact body, which has a smaller diameter on the palming side and is closer to the rod, has dramatically improved the sense of unity with the rod when gripping it. The X-SHIP structure is also adopted for the first time in a bass bait reel. The surface is treated with EI to protect the reel body from harsh field environments such as rain and splashes.

X-DRAG
The star drag is placed on the outside of the handle to reduce shaking during retrieval.

The star drag, which is usually on the inside of the handle, is placed on the outside of the handle. By moving the handle closer to the body, shaking during retrieval has been significantly reduced. This new structure is especially ideal for fast-moving lures.

S-Compact Body

Asymmetrical small body that promotes improved palming.

The asymmetrical body with a smaller diameter on the palming side is used to achieve a fit in the palm that is hard to believe for a circular reel. By reducing the height of the reel itself and moving the body on the palming side closer to the rod, the sense of unity with the rod when gripping it has been dramatically improved.

(E.I.) Ultra-rust-resistant special surface treatment

This is a new Shimano-original special surface treatment. It is more than twice as corrosion-resistant as conventional reels (compared to our previous products). It protects the reel body from rain and splashes.
