The HH170 is designed for these challenging zones, capable of handling extreme pressures, with a maximum weight capacity of 500g. Even when using heavy sinkers between 300g and 500g, the rod allows for "easing the hook" and provides ample control to prevent the fish from taking the lead. While the H170 offers substantial strength, the HH class has even more leeway in the butt section due to the muscle core effect. For Cherumare, the fighting bottom has evolved to maximize its practicality. The flat belly-side surface enlarges the contact area, and rubber is placed on the bottom to prevent slipping. Additionally, improvements were made to prevent the rubber at the joint from coming loose, ensuring that the fighting bottom is pain-free, non-slip, and unyielding.

One issue that often arises in prolonged fights is reel wobble, especially with heavy-duty fishing rods. To counteract this, Cherumare has increased the width of the reel mounting nut and resin spacer, making it possible to secure the reel more tightly, reducing wobble even during long fights. Shimano’s original aluminum reel seat, with a sophisticated design, securely holds the reel during fights with large fish. The flat design of the reel seat improves fixing power, while a resin cushion prevents reel wobble and protects against scratches. The nut has been improved for easier tightening, and a double nut with cushioning prevents loosening after tightening, ensuring reliability.

The fighting bottom has been redesigned with a flatter belly-side contact surface to increase the bottom area. Rubber is applied to the bottom surface for anti-slip protection, and the rubber at the joint has been enhanced to prevent detachment. These changes result in a highly practical power fighting bottom that is pain-free, non-slip, and secure.

Carbon Hold Position (Grooved)

To prevent slippage when the rod is resting or during movement, the diameter of the hold position has been optimized, and the number of grooves has been increased to further prevent sliding, ensuring a stable grip during use.
