The "shapes of strength" required for saltwater reels are extremely diverse. They require rigidity and toughness to withstand hard use, strong waterproofing to prevent seawater from entering, and above all else, winding power. The new Twin Power SW is generously equipped with mechanisms that inherit the strength of Stella SW, such as Infinity Drive and heat sink drag. The overwhelming reliability brought about by the outstanding winding power and durability, which can even be said to be over-spec, will strongly support anglers who aim to go one step further, whether onshore or offshore.

Light and powerful winding that always puts you in control
The conventional X-SHIP structure achieved light winding by supporting both ends of the pinion gear with bearings. This new model is equipped with an Infinity Drive structure that is an evolution of that structure. The main shaft, which was previously supported by the pinion gear, has been made non-contact and is supported by a special low-friction bush, significantly reducing the sliding resistance of the main shaft. In addition, a special surface treatment has been applied to the main shaft itself, successfully reducing friction even further. The rotational torque has been reduced by approximately 30%* compared to previous models, making it a powerful reel that can actively wind up even under high load.

A tough drag that can run hard and stop firmly, and is heat-resistant
The conventional X-Tough Drag has an innovative structure that places the drag mechanism at the bottom of the spool, achieving overwhelming drag performance and improved durability. This new model is equipped with a heat sink drag that has evolved to be even more heat resistant. The heat sink panel that releases heat generated in the drag section out of the spool has improved drag force loss due to heat sagging by approximately 50%*. In addition, the insulation sheet that blocks heat from flowing to the spool winding section has succeeded in reducing the temperature rise in the winding section by approximately 30%*. It has evolved into a drag that is gentler on the line and more stable.

Reliable waterproof performance that withstands harsh conditions
The X-Protect structure was installed in the stopper bearing of the previous model and contributed greatly to realizing high waterproof performance. The new Twin Power SW is equipped with the X-Protect structure not only in the stopper bearing but also in the line roller, further improving waterproof performance. As with the stopper bearing, the structure has evolved to withstand high water pressure by physically blocking the intrusion of seawater with a sealing material. The bearing inside the line roller is protected from harsh environments, and compared to conventional products, the durability of the bearing is more than 10 times longer* than conventional products.

X-Protect for Line Roller
The X-Protect structure was installed in the stopper bearing part of the previous model and contributed greatly to realizing high waterproof performance. In addition to the stopper bearing part, the NEW Twin Power SW is equipped with the X-Protect structure in the line roller part as well, further improving waterproof performance. As with the stopper bearing part, the structure has evolved to withstand high water pressure by physically blocking the intrusion path of seawater with a sealing material. The bearing inside the line roller is protected from harsh environments, and the durability of the bearing is more than 10 times longer than conventional products.

X-Rigid Rotor
By using aluminum alloy and verifying the thickness arrangement in detail through repeated 3D analysis, we have achieved stronger rigidity, durability and excellent rotational balance than ever before. This high rigidity also contributes to improving the functionality of the drag and other parts.

CI4+ Handle Knob
Models from 4000 to 8000 use a handle knob made of lightweight carbon material CI4+, which has excellent rigidity and durability. This not only makes it even lighter, but also applies a special coating to make it less slippery, further improving the smoothness of winding. It provides an outstanding feel when using the reel. (Models from 10000 to 14000 come standard with a lightweight hollow oval round handle knob.)
