Blank Technologies & Engineering

Redesigned & Reinforced Blanks ＜SJ & SURF Models＞

The SJ (Shore Jigging) and SURF models feature blanks that have been thoroughly reinforced from both the inner and outer layers. By completely redesigning the reinforcement structure from the previous generation, we have successfully increased structural rigidity against twisting and crushing without adding extra weight. These robust, high-performance blanks minimize power loss, providing ultimate peace of mind when fighting trophy-class fish.

Lightweight-Focused Blank Re-engineering ＜LG, 84 & 86 Models＞

For the LG (Light Game) series as well as the 84 and 86 models, where weight reduction and effortless maneuverability are paramount, the tip section is reinforced with carbon cross-tape. This design prevents a tip-heavy feel while dramatically increasing torsional strength. By strategically applying reinforcement only where needed, these rods retain an incredibly crisp, lightweight feel, allowing you to immerse yourself in more delicate and technical shore games.

BRS-S98L/M-SJ (Specialized Blade Jig & Vibration Model)

Specifically engineered for 30g-class blade jigs and metal vibrations. The blank features a highly supple tip designed to prevent fish from throwing the hook or tearing their mouths during a straight retrieve. Underneath, a strong and resilient butt section cushions the violent runs of Spanish Mackerel (Sawara) and blue runners, ensuring you never hand over control. This rod is poised to become the new standard for modern shore casting.

"I have been using the BRS-S98L/M-SJ since its prototype stage. Thanks to its supple tip design, it cushions short bites and absorbs sudden shocks beautifully, making it an exceptional match for soft-mouthed targets like Spanish Mackerel (Sawara) that are prone to tearing off the hook. Additionally, it offers a very sharp casting feel; the rod doesn't wobble even on windy days, allowing you to cast and retrieve 30g-class lures with ultimate comfort.
In early March, I went out to target fish feeding on tiny juvenile sweetfish (Ayu). Upon arrival, I noticed clouds of Ayu about 2 cm long. Knowing blade jigs wouldn't stand out enough in this situation, I purposely went larger to draw attention and tied on a Big Backer 107 (Candy Glow Stripe) to make a strong statement during the morning magic hour.
Just as dawn was breaking, I hooked up while retrieving the lure up from the bottom. The bite occurred high in the water column. While the rod's power is on the lighter side and the tip is soft, the butt section has serious backbone. I was able to easily tame the fish's runs and pull it in steadily. This session reconfirmed just how versatile this rod is with a wide range of lures.
As temperatures rise and blue runners spread into wider areas, the upcoming season is going to be incredibly exciting."
