DAIWA Sealine LD 60 II SP
Обзор
This reel is designed for standing fights, with a tough body, smooth lever drag, and handle and knob shape that makes it easy to reel in, all of which are necessary for catching the largest monster fish targeted by chum and live bait fishing, such as yellowfin tuna, horse mackerel, bonito, amberjack, yellowtail amberjack, conger eel, and kannagi. The body is highly rigid thanks to the ultra-precise one-piece machine cut, and the lever drag can be switched between two speeds depending on the target. The 60 size uses UTD (Ultimate Tournament Drag). It can flexibly handle the first run, which is the most likely time for a big fish to get away, when fighting with a big fish. The vibrant gold body that stands out on the sea is a powerful weapon to make the dreams of big-game hand-reeling anglers come true.
UTD (Ultimate Tournament Drag)
This is a Daiwa drag system that eliminates the initial bite when the drag first starts working, achieving a smooth drag without stickiness (unevenness), while also providing maximum drag power the more you tighten it.
Both the frame and side plates are made from ultra-precise one-piece machine-cut fabric, allowing for powerful winding without rattling even under heavy loads.
The frame pillars are barrel-shaped so that even if you get carried away with the fishing line and it gets wrapped around your neck, it won't hit the frame.
The arm length and knob size have been specially developed to be optimal for dealing with large fish. The 100mm long handle arm and large T-shaped machined knob allow for robust winding.
Advantages of a lever drag
The advantage of a lever drag is that it can be instantly set to the strike (=winding) position from a spool-free state.
If you absolutely need to stop a fish running immediately, a lever drag that can be instantly tightened to the maximum is advantageous.
Gears can be switched with one push
Gears can be switched between HI (5.2) and LOW (2.3) with one push.
Flexible response depending on the size of the target.
UTD (Ultimate Tournament Drag)
UTD (Ultimate Tournament Drag) smoothly follows even the first run of a large fish.
When the lever drag is in the "STRIKE" position, the waterproof mechanism is turned on, and smooth drag performance is maintained for a long time.
Drag pull click knob
The drag pull click knob is useful for letting you know when you have a hit with a sound and for applying light tension when letting out the line.
Basic operation of lever drag
1. Set the lever to the STRIKE position and check the drag force (desired drag position).
2. Return the lever to the FREE position and adjust the preset knob to set the drag to your desired strength (clockwise = up, counterclockwise = down).
3. When casting, set the lever to the FREE position.
4. When raising the lever, press the stopper with your finger to put it in the FULL position, further increasing the drag force.
2-speed switching operation method
Press the protrusion at the base of the handle with your finger to switch to low gear (2.3). This is useful when dealing with large fish.
Lowering the stopper with your finger switches to HI gear (5.2). Convenient for retrieving tackle or fast winding.
The rod clamp set is made of machined parts with the same high rigidity as the body.
