The SALTIGA SLJ EX represents the absolute pinnacle of Super Light Jigging (SLJ) rod development. It masterfully fuses three vital elements into uncharted territory: "precise, effortless control of ultra-lightweight jigs," "exceptional casting performance to widen your approach," and "the robust power to tame unexpected monster fish."

The guides feature ultra-light, highly sensitive AGS Type-R rings, locked to the blank using DAIWA's proprietary CWS (Carbon Wrapping System) to maximize their structural potential. The blanks are built from premium SVF Nanoplus (incorporating Torayca® M40X) and fully armored with X45 Full Shield for an unparalleled blend of sharpness and raw lifting power. Finished with the highly ergonomic ZERO-SEAT design, these rods comfortably support diverse hand positions and completely eliminate fatigue during marathon offshore sessions.

• ESS (Expert Sense Simulation)

  

  DAIWA's proprietary digital design system that analyzes and measures "strain energy" (the restoring force of a bent blank returning to its straight shape). By quantifying what constitutes "excellent performance" versus "missing elements," ESS allows DAIWA to program subjective angler intuition and feel directly into the structural carbon layup of the rod.

• AGS (Air Guide System) Type-R

  

  A state-of-the-art guide system utilizing rigid, lightweight carbon frames. Because carbon is roughly 3 times stiffer than titanium, it directly transmits micro-vibrations from the line into the blank without absorption. The Type-R configuration optimizes ring shape and frame angles to boost casting distance and speed up tip-recovery.

  An innovative, threadless technology for securing guides and reel seats to the blank. By wrapping components in highly dense, woven carbon cloth instead of traditional thread and epoxy, CWS sheds weight, drastically boosts torsional rigidity at guide feet, and resists epoxy cracking over time.

• X45 FULL SHIELD

  

  An advanced reinforcing structure that completely neutralizes blank twisting during casting, jigging, hooksetting, and fighting. By wrapping a 45° carbon bias cross sheet over the outermost layer—stretching all the way from the tip where twisting is most severe—it drastically increases torsional rigidity, drawing out the absolute maximum performance inherent in the blank.
