DAIWA CONNECTED aims to provide new value to the fishing scene by achieving easy setup, evolved functionality, and a new experience. DAIWA CONNECTED is made up of two technologies: "electric mobile setting" and the "DAIWA Connecting System," and refers to a "reel that connects to a smartphone." The "DAIWA Connecting System," one of the DAIWA CONNECTED technologies, is installed on baitcasting spinning reels and smelt reels. By linking the "DAIWA Connecting System" with wirelessly connected reels (baitcasting spinning reels and smelt reels with a "-C" at the end), the "DAIWA Connecting System" allows for function updates and the ability to check data obtained from the reel.
Furthermore, in spring 2025, a new function that links with wearable devices (sub-displays and hearables) will be released. The DAIWA CONNECTED concept will bring new value to the fishing scene and further expand the enjoyment of fishing.

1. Master Temper allows you to set a wide variety of baiting patterns, including "pattern," "wait time," "number of baits," and "bait length." Furthermore, when using the DAIWA app, a new baiting pattern customization (PC) has been added, allowing you to set even more diverse personal patterns.
2. Gradual Tempering Stop (with adjustable length and speed). In addition to the standard Tempering Stop function, this feature allows you to slowly drop the weight to the basin without scattering the fish. The clutch turns on 1 meter before the set basin, and the motor reverses at a low speed to reach the basin, leading to increased catches.
* The slow drop length can also be set to six levels: 0.3/0.5/0.7/1.0/1.5/2.0 m.
* The line feed speed can be adjusted to six levels depending on the basin size and activity.
3. Depth Counter Correction. The counter value is corrected to match the fish finder's depth and the reel's counter depth. Accurate basin depth can be determined by looking at the counter, even in conditions where the basin is difficult to see.
4. Chasing reeling (with speed adjustment). Luring the fish with a dead slow motion, the rig is slowly passed through the biting layer, aiming for even more hooks. The reeling speed can be adjusted in 10 steps.
5. Selectable gunwale stop function (3 deceleration speed adjustment patterns). In addition to the conventional gunwale deceleration stop (Po2), there are three options: power deceleration stop (Po3), which is effective when multiple large smelt are hooked, and slow deceleration stop (Po1), which is effective when there are many fish that get lost close to the shore or on ice (Po1: slow, Po2: normal, Po3: power).
6. All settings reset. If there are frequent counter errors or you are unsure how to operate the reel, you can return it to the initial settings.
7. Compatible with alkaline batteries, of course! The reel can also be powered externally by using the Christia Smelt External Power Unit AIR (sold separately).

DAIWA CONNECTING-SYSTEM
Connect your reel to the DAIWA Connecting System in the DAIWA CONNECTED app. Easily configure and send settings via the app. You can also view your fishing log data within the DAIWA app.

Slim, Easy-to-Hold Design
The lightweight, slim, and compact design is a big hit with the Christia Wakasagi AIR. The compact design is compatible with alkaline batteries, improving the reel's grip and sensitivity.

Equipped with a Master Induction Switch
The Master Induction Switch, which allows for easy operation of the Master Induction feature to increase your catch, can be turned on/off with a single touch.

Dot LCD Screen
The depth counter is clearly visible, and the "Master," "Dandan," and "Shelf Stop" settings are displayed on the LCD panel. Furthermore, the currently selected function is displayed in dotted letters when setting various convenient functions, making it easy to see at a glance.

Backlit Panel
The backlight function makes the text easier to read (ON/OFF/AUTO OFF settings available).

Christian Wakasagi Fumbaru Rec Plate
The standard feature is the Christian Wakasagi Fumbaru Leg, which prevents the reel from lifting up during high-speed reeling.

Compatible with 5mm Tips
Compatible with Φ5 (5mm diameter) tips. Insert the tip all the way into the mounting hole and ensure it is securely fastened (it may loosen due to vibration, so check occasionally during use).

Gannel Stop Guide
The switch-type gunwale stop prevents the tip from getting tangled due to over-reeling.

V-Spool
The V-spool features a "V" shape that allows for even reeling of line and smooth line release when reeling. Two spool ball bearings provide excellent rotation, allowing even light rigs to be smoothly released without snagging.
*E-series spools cannot be used with other models.

Line Stoppers
Equipped with three line stoppers on the top of the spool. By hooking the line on the stoppers at the depth where fish often bite, you can conveniently stop your rig at the same depth every time you cast.

Short spool screw prevents snagging during backlash.
*Not compatible with the MR Series, SR Series, CR Series, CR-PT Series, CRT Series, or E Series.

Clutch Lever
Pivoting the lever to the right "frees" the clutch, freeing the spool and allowing the line to flow. Pivoting the lever to the left "locks" the clutch, locking the spool and allowing you to reel in the line. (The spool can also be locked by pressing the reel switch on the side of the body.)

Quick Winding/Continuous Winding
Lightly press the reel switch on either side of the body to reel in the line. This function activates the "quick winding" function. Holding the switch down for more than one second activates "continuous winding," which allows the reel to continue reeling even after you release your finger. To stop reeling, lightly press the switch again.

Attachment Hole for a Hand Rope
Attach a hand rope to your back for added security in case of a fall.
