DAIWA 23 Airity ST LT2000S-P
Обзор
Expert anglers have an insatiable desire for better reel rotation performance in area trout, native trout, and bass fishing. A lighter reeling feel and a higher reeling sensitivity -- this special tune has been created to meet their insatiable desires and achieve the ultimate in rotation. This is the 23AIRITY ST (Sensitive Tune). This is another AIRITY that achieves an even more delicate and direct reeling feel than the ultra-lightweight spinning reel "AIRITY". The lineup includes the ST and ST SF, for a total of six models specialized for finesse fishing. While maintaining the basic performance of the 23AIRITY/23AIRITY SF, the BB (ball bearing) in the main rotating part, which is directly related to the lightness of the handle rotation, has been changed from the grease-type BB of the standard model to an oil-type BB. By choosing a low-viscosity oil-type BB, even at the expense of the high durability that is the characteristic of grease-type BBs, we have achieved a high level of lightness of rotation. But that's not all. We have deliberately not used a mag-seal on the pinion part, which is essential for waterproofing and dustproofing, and have paid close attention to even a slight weight reduction that is not listed in the specifications. As a result, anglers get a sharpened rotation performance. The reeling resistance to your fingertips is almost numb, and an overwhelming amount of information is transmitted to your hand as you turn the handle. For anglers who want a "direct rotation feel", the AIRITY ST is the pride of the model.
Differences from the 23AIRITY standard model
1. The BB on the main rotating part is an oil-type BB
2. No mag-seal
3. A design that makes it clear at a glance that it is a sensitive tune model

AIRDRIVE ROTOR (made by ZAION) "Why we pursue low inertia?"
DAIWA continues to work on improving the rotation response of spinning reel rotors. Based on its own theory, DAIWA has derived a new shape that looks as if it was cut out directly from a sphere. By thoroughly removing unnecessary material from the shape, it has succeeded in significantly reducing the weight while maintaining its rigidity. This has dramatically improved the lightness of winding, which leads to improved operability and sensitivity. In addition, the new shape and screw-free exterior improve line trouble-free performance and make it even more stress-free to use.
Compared to the 21L.AIRITY air rotor, the rotor unit is approximately 16% (※1) lighter (compared to the 2500 model) and has a maximum of approximately 16% (※2) lower inertia
* The comparison value of the weight reduction varies depending on the size.
** The calculated value of the inertia force varies depending on the size and is maximized with the 2500 model.

AIRDRIVE BAIL "Even more trouble-free"
For many years, the Air Veil installed on DAIWA spinning reels has adopted a hollow pipe structure that provides lightness and rigidity. Furthermore, its unique shape smoothly guides the line to the line roller, enabling trouble-free winding. The Air Drive Veil has been made thinner while maintaining the necessary strength to achieve further weight reduction. In addition, the veil angle is set to the optimum angle to allow the line to transition more smoothly from the veil to the line roller. This not only supports the performance of the Air Drive Rotor, but also makes it even lighter and more trouble-free.
Compared to the 21L.AIRITY Air Veil, the weight is approximately 1g (approximately 33%) lighter (compared to the 2500 model) and the veil diameter is smaller from 3mm to 2.4mm.

AIRDRIVE SPOOL "New design reflecting the future"
Based on meticulous strength calculations, unnecessary material has been thoroughly removed to achieve a thin-walled design that is extremely lightweight. Not only the thin-walled design of the line winding section and spool skirt, but also the hollowing out of the inside of the spool is completely uncompromising. The lighter spool improves ease of winding and casting. In addition, a new drag sound mechanism with less operating resistance has been developed. This improves response when the drag is activated.
Compared to the 21L.AIRITY spool, it maintains the clicking sound when the drag is pulled out while reducing operating resistance.

AIRDRIVE SHAFT "The force you apply is directly transferred to the rotor"
The linear shaft that DAIWA has been using in its spinning reels is a system that eliminates frictional resistance by making the main shaft non-contact with the pinion. The Air Drive Shaft also supports both ends of the pinion with ball bearings, making it possible to transfer the power input from the handle to the rotational force of the rotor to the maximum extent possible. In addition, by supporting the main shaft with a high-precision collar, it has been possible to thoroughly reduce rotational noise.
*SF is a linear shaft specification.

Full metal (Mg) monocoque body
It uses a full metal (Mg) monocoque body. The maximum diameter Tough Digigear is enclosed in a highly rigid, lightweight, compact housing.

Super duralumin MC (machine cut) Tough Digigear "Precise meshing creates power"
The drive gear, the most important part of a reel, requires three essential elements (design concept, processing technology, and gear material). The MC Tough Digigear made of ultra-super duralumin mounted on the AIRITY ST is made of a material that has been cold forged to a high strength, and is machine cut with high precision to create the ideal gear. In addition, the drive gear is given a special surface treatment to increase the surface hardness of the gear, reducing the adverse effects caused by sudden force.

ATD TYPE-L "Different tracking capabilities"
The ATD TYPE-L improves the initial response of spinning reels while retaining the ATD's characteristic of working smoothly in response to the pull of the fish. It has been tuned to provide the smooth start required when using light lines, further reducing the load on the line and allowing you to land the fish in a short time without causing excessive stress to the fish.

LC-ABS (Long Cast-ABS) "Even Further"
While keeping the idea of reducing contact resistance of ABS II, the contact point has been moved forward to achieve smoother line release. The ring part is now more forward-facing, making it harder for the line to get caught on the ring, resulting in a 5% increase in casting distance and trouble-free performance over the conventional ABS II. This is the next generation ABS spool that truly achieves LC (= LONG CAST).

SENSITIVE TUNE
The BB (bearing) of the main rotating part, which is directly related to the lightness of rotation, has been changed from the grease specification BB (CRBB) of the normal model to an oil specification BB, which is a special tune that realizes a delicate and direct winding feel. Furthermore, since it is assumed that it will be used for finesse fishing, the mag shield of the pinion part has been removed to make it as light as possible.

High-grip I-type finesse knob
Adopted "High Grip I-type Finesse Knob" that matches delicate fishing. Lightweight knob with hollowed out surface allows reeling with light force and contributes to improved winding sensitivity.
Improved winding sensitivity is a big advantage in area trout, native trout, and light salt games that require delicate retrieval performance. High grip specification ensures firm grip performance and easy gripping despite its small and lightweight. In pursuit of weight reduction, an integrated knob cap structure is adopted.
*Please use a 2.5mm hex wrench to remove the handle knob.
*Standard equipment on SF1000S-P, SF2000SS-P, and SF2000SS-H.

Stopperless body "Even lighter and more trouble-free"
The body structure has been simplified by removing the stopper. The decision to remove the stopper, which is a route through which water and foreign objects can get in, not only reduces the weight and improves waterproof performance, but also minimizes the risk of sudden trouble in the actual fishing environment and when dealing with large fish, which are required of the AIRITY ST.
