New Finetail Stream — series concept

Five years since it first appeared… Finetail has raised its game even further with a full model change. Multiple placements of the lightened, ultimate guide — the "SiC-S guide" — dramatically improve sensitivity. Line trouble has been cut down drastically, and the rod bends to properly follow a fish's pull, improving both the feel of the fight and eliminating lost fish. The ultra-high-sensitivity blank, built from high-grade carbon, uses a new bias design method, and Cross Force construction on top of that suppresses twist and gives it straight-line tracking. Natural wood is used generously in the grip section. Built up from carefully selected, premium parts, the new Finetail Stream model is now even more sensitive and luxurious. Characterized by a supple, springy blank that emphasizes casting feel and delicate lure control. Well suited to working a lure exactly as intended in fast-flowing main-stem rivers, for species like yamame, amago, char, satsukimasu (river-run cherry salmon), and rainbow trout. A sharp chase after the lure, the bite, then the roll. This model is packed with Finetail's core concept: following a fast-running fish's pull and landing it by bending fully into the fight.

FSX blank

A blank made supple yet strong through the new bias construction method. The lightweight new SiC-S guides give it an even better swing-through feel. The butt has slightly more power than the previous model, but the reassurance Finetail is known for — a blank that lands the fish by bending fully — remains fully intact, standing up to the power of large river fish like masu salmon.

FSX-562L

Wary, large fish won't take a lure that's simply worked naturally. Sometimes you need to jerk it hard, or work the lure through a thick bottom current to win them over. The tip section is made a little stronger so you can handle lures with strong resistance, and so you can hook large fish's tough mouths firmly and securely.
