The GRF series made its debut in 2005. The "TR" models are equipped with titanium frame guides, while the "SR" models use stainless steel frame guides. Both feature the detachable-handle "1 & HALF" construction and distinctive white blanks. Among them, the unique "Rapid Current Monster" model, built to dominate the fierce tidal currents of the Seto Inland Sea, still has a devoted following.

Later, the iconic white GRF rods were reborn as black "TR" rods, continuing the "1 & HALF" legacy. The 68strange, built specifically for ajing, and the NEO-patsun-style 74electro, designed for both mebaru and ajing, were released to the market. These were followed by the powerful, long-length 2-piece rod 83deep, a highly individual model that helped the series become a long-running hit for over a decade.

In addition, the seemingly overpowered light game rods PE-special and PE-special Houri-island, resembling eging rods at first glance, offered refined casting control, long-distance capabilities, and freed anglers from limitations on target species and lure types. From weedy zones to rocky breakwaters and elevated piers, these rods gave anglers the power to pull out monster mebaru by force. Despite their high power, they provided stress-free control over micro rigs, enhanced bite detection, and soft yet firm hooksets — achieving a seemingly contradictory blend of angler desires.

When paired with the 13vib, these rods achieved explosive results during “non-bite” time zones in ajing. They also proved a perfect match for the "target-unrestricted lure" Metalmaru, delivering wide-range dominance even in light shore jigging.
