The Catapult Light Spec series was created by bringing together all of XESTA’s accumulated blank technologies. During casting, it generates excellent distance and accuracy with minimal effort.

Its slim tubular blank transmits information clearly even during blade jigging and minnow jerking, enabling a highly efficient and responsive fishing experience. It covers modern popular techniques such as Spanish mackerel-focused blade jigging and jerking, as well as sea bass, medium-sized pelagic fish, and even rockfish games. It utilizes the latest material, TORAYCA® T1100G, making it a blank that performs across a wide range of offshore game situations.

A versatile blank capable of handling blade jigging, minnowing, vibration lures, jig heads, and even vertical jigging.

Designed specifically for blade jigging, the blank flexibly absorbs blade-induced vibrations through the tip and belly sections, reducing rod wobble while still transmitting clear information from the target for sensitive bite detection. It uses a high-strength, high-modulus blank, and a regular-fast taper that makes it enjoyable to fish with a bending action.

S66ML-J

A jigging blank specialized for blade jigging in both shallow and deep water.

Engineered to meet the demands of anglers seeking an ideal blade jigging and light jigging rod.

A high-modulus fast-taper blank allows effortless underhand casting up to Jig MAX 80g. The tip is tuned to improve bite uptake, while the butt section is reinforced to handle unexpected large fish.

It also supports vertical jigging up to Jig MAX 180g, making it fully capable as a nearshore light jigging rod that covers all essential requirements.

S74L

A jerking-specialized model designed for active fishing.

Built with a regular-fast taper, this rod is optimized for working 18–30g minnows with ease. The carefully tuned tip entry during jerks, combined with a firm belly section, provides excellent control. The butt section absorbs strong runs from target fish while helping lift them efficiently.

This rod showcases XESTA’s commitment to blank design for aggressive jerking techniques.

S72ML

A versatile blank suitable for jerking, blade jigging, vibration lures, and more.

Designed for technical and comfortable nearshore light casting targeting coot, mahi-mahi, medium pelagic fish, Spanish mackerel, sea bass, and rockfish.

The high-modulus fast-taper blank allows smooth casting up to Jig MAX 80g and Plug MAX 70g. It has sufficient butt power for fighting unexpected large fish, making it a highly versatile rod suitable for minnows, blade jigs, and topwater plugs.

S83ML

A versatile blank covering jerking, blade jigging, and vibration lure techniques.

Built on the S72ML concept but designed for longer casting distance. It maintains easy handling even on boats with high gunwales, ensuring good casting stroke and maneuverability.

Target species include coot, mahi-mahi, medium pelagic fish, Spanish mackerel, sea bass, and rockfish.

It features a high-modulus fast-taper blank that supports up to Jig MAX 80g and Plug MAX 70g, with strong butt power for handling unexpected large fish.

Guide System

KW guides (SiC-S) on the butt section, KT guides (SiC-S) on the tip section, and an LG top guide (SiC) are used. This setup minimizes line trouble during casting and lure action.

Reel Seat

Equipped with a VSS reel seat in an uplock configuration. The TVS hood with anti-loosening function is used. The matte black finish prevents stickiness and ensures comfortable casting at all times.

End Grip

A long EVA butt end is used to improve grip stability during fighting, including under the arm or against the body. The XESTA logo is embossed on the end section.

Joint

A one-and-a-half piece construction is used to balance performance with portability.
