A pencil-motif telescopic rod for light tackle fishing

Light tackle fishing in familiar rivers and lakes. Starting with tanago, which bite relatively well even in the depths of winter, spring's arrival and rising water temperatures bring out a whole range of fish — crucian carp, topmouth gudgeon, Chinese minnow, pale chub, freshwater shrimp, goby, and more. Rikka is a telescopic rod for light tackle fishing that you can enjoy easily, anytime, anywhere. It's designed around a compact closed length for easy carrying and a strong emphasis on sensitivity. Hexagonal grip — The most distinctive feature is the grip section, shaped like a hexagon inspired by a pencil. Pencils are often hexagonal so they won't roll away, and so they're easy to hold — Rikka follows the same concept. Especially when targeting tanago with the "Rikka 0.7-0.9," do try holding it "pencil-style." Aside from the pencil grip, you'll normally hold it by pinching it between two fingers or pressing it with three — and since six is a multiple of three, the hexagonal shape sits naturally against your fingers, making it far easier to hold than you'd expect.

Two playful faces — Since the grip is shaped like a pencil, Side A is printed with a pencil-inspired design, in gold. The opposite Side B is printed with a design inspired by a classic fishing rod, in silver. Feel free to use whichever side you like for photos. At the same time, the boundary between the glossy and matte finishes is also expected to give a bit of anti-slip grip. *Length markings printed on the rod are a rough guide only.

Two colors — 01 BK (a black base mixed with a fine laser hologram); 02 WR (Wine Red — also known as "shrimp brown." One of the classic pencil colors).

Two-stage length adjustment — A three-stage adjustable design was possible too, but two stages is as far as you can go and still change length without changing your rig, and two stages is also just right for making full use of the rod's bend. At the shorter length, it's held at two points — the lock section on the blank side and the drain plug at the base — to reduce play.

Rikka 1.2-1.4 (#01 Black / #02 Wine Red)
Choose between two lengths, approximately 1.2m and 1.4m. Set your rig's overall length to fit 1.4m, and you can fish comfortably at the 1.2m rod length too, without changing rigs. Suited to fishing narrow drainage channels, waterways, and around boat docks.
