The highest priority in development was sensitivity during plug fishing.
Even during aggressive twitching, the rod allows you to clearly feel the plug’s action (vibration) in your hand, while also detecting subtle changes in lure movement when a target begins to follow.

Rather than simply pursuing higher-modulus materials, this rod was designed to enhance sensitivity and reduce weight through a more balanced approach.

As a result, it makes it extremely easy to control twitch intervals, timing, and rhythm — delivering a plugging model that prevents the lure from being “pulled away” or deflected during bites.

BL-702ML/MK

7ft, 2-piece model.

As an MK (Mekki/Kamasu) model, this rod is designed to deliver high sensitivity during plug fishing while also accommodating longer casts and slightly larger plugs — hence the 7ft length.

Strictly speaking, the action falls between ML and M.
The tip section is nearly identical to the BL-661ML, but the butt section is about 0.5 power stiffer compared to the 661ML.

This design ensures that during aggressive, continuous twitching, the rod does not overly absorb the lure’s action, allowing precise control and natural lure movement.

Blank

Constructed primarily from 24t carbon.
Rather than using ultra-high modulus materials, it is specifically engineered to make twitch intervals, timing, and rhythm easier to control.

Matte finish except for the butt section.
Areas where fingers rest during minnow twitching and retrieving are treated with a non-slip finish to prevent slipping.

Grip

661ML/MK and 681L/MK feature detachable grips.
The front grip is intentionally kept extremely short to allow direct finger contact with the blank during minnow operation, achieving an ideal control-oriented shape.

Ferrule

BL-702ML/MK only: 2-piece construction with woven graphite spigot ferrule for superior strength and resistance to loosening.

Guides

Fuji guide setting:

• The first two guides from the butt are KLH + KLM (stainless steel frame, S-type SiC rings).
• All remaining guides are small-diameter titanium frame K-guides (S-type SiC rings).

This configuration significantly reduces line trouble when using ultra-thin PE lines while also contributing to weight reduction and enhanced sensitivity.
