RISE Grip End

CGS – Comfortable Gripend System

The first offshore rod brand from RISE JAPAN, “RISE,” features the CGS (Comfortable Gripend System).
This innovative grip-end system is engineered to pursue maximum comfort in rod handling, optimized according to each specific fishing style.

CGS “Manaita End”

The RISE Tai Rubber (Tairaba) series adopts the “Manaita End” design, which is shaped for easy placement under the arm.
This reduces lateral rod wobble even when holding the reel lightly.
Additionally, the butt end is angled to improve stability when the rod is placed against the gunwale of the boat.

CGS “Shamoji End”

The RISE Ika Metal series features the “Shamoji End,” designed to rest comfortably against the elbow while preventing slippage.
In ika metal fishing—where repeated action and long stays are required—this design ensures excellent stability during the “stay” phase.

Yellow Tip

Solid tip models (-GST / -ST) are equipped with a highly visible yellow tip for superior visual bite detection.
Applicable to both the Tairaba and Ika Metal models.

RISE Tairaba Series – Core Model

The central model of the RISE Tairaba series, achieving a high-level balance of sensitivity, hooking feel, and bite absorption.

With a shorter 5'9" length and a moderately firm butt section, this rod delivers excellent control and responsiveness. The mid-section (tip-support area) firmly supports the glass solid tip, which enables smooth bite absorption, creating an exquisite overall balance.

It allows fish that have shown interest to continue tracking the lure without discomfort, and once you feel the hook make contact, you can transition naturally into a confident hook-set—representing the fundamental, “basic style” of tairaba fishing.

Additionally, the short length combined with the firm butt section provides excellent underhand casting performance, expanding its versatility on the water.
