My main hook is the Ikkaku. I have absolute confidence in the 6 and 6.5 sizes in particular. The best thing about the Ikkaku is its straight, sharp point. Its sharpness allows it to penetrate well, quickly catching wild ayu that are chasing it. And it has excellent holding power. I feel that the balance between good hooking ability and holding power is combined at a very high level.
