*Use the washers to adjust the gap to your liking. Change the number of washers, tighten the screws with a screwdriver, and then move the knob up and down to check the amount of play. If you put in too many washers, the knob will not turn smoothly, so in that case, use thinner washers or reduce the number of washers.
