The GEKIDAKI TR SHAFT is a dedicated tip-run eging rod released by JACKALL. The lineup includes five models ranging from highly technical short rods to powerful models designed for targeting large cuttlefish and squid. It is engineered to handle all situations year-round—from vertical jigging and drifting (doterra drift) to shallow and deep-water fishing.

Ideal action for tip-run eging
From shallow early-season areas to deep winter conditions, the weight of the used squid jigs and water resistance varies greatly depending on the situation. The blank is made with TORAYCA T1100G carbon from TORAY Industries, delivering a sharp yet high-strength structure. Even under heavy resistance or deep-water loads, it enables smooth and light jerking action. When a squid is hooked, the rod bends smoothly to absorb shocks and reduce hook-outs, achieving an ideal tip-run design.

Highly sensitive tip for detecting subtle bites
The tip section uses an ultra-finely processed high-modulus carbon solid tip, achieving both visual and tactile sensitivity at a very high level. It enhances visual detection—one of the most important aspects of tip-run rods—while also transmitting subtle vibrations that may not be visible. This allows anglers to clearly detect everything from faint bites of small squid to extremely subtle pressure changes when large squid follow bait in sync with the current.

The tip features orange markings designed for high visibility in all lighting conditions, including low light or shaded positions. By coloring only the very tip and thread areas, unnecessary visual noise is removed, allowing the angler to focus purely on subtle tip movement.

Solid joint system

A solid joint system allows only the solid tip section to be replaced in case of damage, providing a reliable maintenance and backup structure.
