This offset hook is suitable for fishing where the worm is moved sideways, such as swim baits, buzz frogs, and soft jerk baits. The long eye prevents the worm from breaking at the offset.
What is desired from this type of hook is that the worm does not shift even when the soft jerk bait is jerked violently, and the hook tip does not come out. It should remain in the initial set state even after hundreds of casts. When a fish bites, the worm should shift properly and get caught on the hook. The worm is supported by three points: the offset angle, the hook tip angle, and the bend angle, and is designed to not shift during casting, and to catch on the hook with the force of the fish’s bite.
In addition, unnecessary wide gaps cause the worm to shift more than necessary during actual fishing, disrupting the overall balance. This not only impairs the movement of the worm, but also causes the hook tip to come out, leading to snagging.
With this in mind, we have adopted the optimal gap width, which was derived by testing the worm retention rate and hook-up rate.
The wire diameter is heavy enough to allow for distance even without a sinker, and to handle intense bites and large fish with ease, but the super smooth PTFE coating ensures excellent hooking.
