DAIWA Steez CT SV TW 700H

STEEZ has evolved further with the new concept of T (COMPACT & TOUGH). It is equipped with a compact body and a φ30mm G1 duralumin CT SV spool. The CT SV spool has excellent initial speed and covers not only versatile performance but also finesse performance, realizing a casting feel that surpasses anything before. The smooth winding feel inherited from STEEZ SV TW is the gift of the G1 duralumin machine cut drive gear. And the new "TWS" that matches the 700 size spool has a synergistic effect with the "SV CONCEPT" to achieve amazing accuracy performance. CT SV proposes a new versatile style.
In 2016, the versatile model SV was born, symbolizing the new generation of STEEZ. It is still fresh in our memory that the extreme specifications with overwhelming lightness, further long-distance casting performance and trouble-free performance attracted the attention of the world. The following year, 2017, the A was released with a tough concept. The super metal housing provides a sense of solidity, and the robustness to handle thick lines and heavy duty has opened up new scenes for Steez to thrive.
And now in 2019, the third Steez bait reel, the CT SV, is finally being born. The all-new compact body, which is different from the two existing models, is equipped with an ultra-small, high-performance engine, greatly expanding the range of lures that can be used. This next-generation versatile reel is here to answer the true questions of modern bass anglers and meet the realities of the field.
CT = Compact & Tough. The symbol of the new reel is the ultra-small CT SV spool, the smallest in DAIWA history at just 30mm in diameter. From lightweight lures to big baits, the original SV has already covered almost all possible bait tackle fishing. The next CT SV aims to be even more ultra-lightweight, with excellent high rotation performance that can handle rigs under 5g. It is no longer inferior to bait finesse reels, but has reached a level approaching spinning reels.
The material used is G1 duralumin. While achieving both high rigidity and light weight, the thickness ensures strength. There is no longer any worry about fragility. It is possible to shift to the versatile range with 10-14lb. as the axis, and sometimes to the bait finesse range with 6-8lb. It is also possible to challenge heavy cover with PE line. It is possible to challenge any scene within the 10lb. x 80m frame that is necessary and sufficient for practical use.
The CTSV spool boasts an ultra-small diameter of 30φmm and ample strength, and realizes a high rotation force that far exceeds the 34Φ installed on the two existing models. It has excellent start-up even with ultra-light rigs, and instantly reaches top speed. The synergistic effect with TWS that does not interfere with line release realizes smooth flight without trouble. A light swing and a compact cast that makes use of only the snap will mark an outstanding flight distance. It is likely to encourage instant mastery of backhand and flip casts that require skill.
The gear ratio is 6.3 for the 700H and 8.1 for the 700XH. With one turn of the handle, you can reel in 59cm and 76cm, and there are two models to accomplish both reeling and casting. Now you are ready to take on today's tough fields with a more delicate and versatile approach.

TWS (T-WING SYSTEM)
TWS has succeeded in significantly reducing the resistance of the line guide close to the spool, where the spool rotation speed is the highest. By reducing the resistance to the casting distance, not only is the casting distance and controllability improved, but the fall is also faster and backlash is reduced. This has realized the possibility of a new level wind not only when winding, but also when casting.

UTD (Ultimate Tournament Drag)
This is a Daiwa drag system that eliminates the initial bite when the drag first starts working, achieving a smooth drag without stickiness (unevenness), while also providing maximum drag power the more you tighten it.

Zero Adjuster
First, adjust the "zero adjuster" and set the "zero spool rattle". Thanks to the evolution of the magnetic brake, it is now possible to control all lures with just the mag dial.
The "zero adjuster" is a mechanism that allows you to enjoy fishing comfortably without malfunctions while fishing by adjusting it to the "zero setting" before starting fishing.
*The "zero spool rattle" setting is the setting that does not push the spool while leaving a slight rattle (about 0.2 mm).

ZERO SHAFT
The spool is only supported by the bottom bracket. The shaftless design eliminates excess resistance and provides ideal spool rotation.

Air Brake System
This brake system significantly improves accuracy while providing stress-free usability with extremely little backlash. The brakes work well during full casts, and the inductor rotor does not pop out during low rotations such as pitching, allowing you to shoot with a low trajectory, achieving a high level of pitching and casting.

CT-CONCEPT / CT SV-SPOOL

Furthermore, it boasts strength and durability different from spools specialized for bait finesse, and can handle thick lines of 16lb. or more. It is highly effective in the more severe bass field.
