더 먼 비거리를 끝없이 추구하는 경쟁 캐스터의 요구를 충족하기 위해 개발된 SUNDOWNER COMPETITION은 퍼포먼스를 새롭게 정의한 전문 캐스팅 로드입니다. 이 로드는 ‘잘 날아간 듯한 기분’이나 ‘손맛’에 머물지 않습니다—계량 가능한 데이터에 기반하여 모든 스펙과 액션을 실증 테스트로 정교하게 다듬었습니다.

누구에게나 쉬운 로드는 아니지만, 이를 완전히 다룰 수 있는 숙련자에게는 최고 성능을 끌어내는 대체 불가의 도구가 됩니다.

DAIWA 기술

Expert Sense Simulation [ESS]

A proprietary design system that analyzes and visualizes the “strain energy” (the restorative force that a blank generates when flexed). By quantifying how and where a blank excels or falls short, DAIWA integrates not only data but also angler intuition into the design process—creating rods that truly meet the user’s expectations.

SVF NANOPLUS

Combining DAIWA’s ultra-high-density SVF carbon with Toray’s Nanoalloy® Technology, this construction achieves a thinner, lighter, and more powerful blank with superior strength and reduced weight.

3DX

This honeycomb-pattern support layer wraps around the blank’s outer surface to dramatically boost recovery speed and stability. When the blank bends under load, its cross-section slightly flattens. 3DX helps it return to its original round shape quickly, minimizing tip wobble and enhancing casting consistency and distance.

V-JOINT α

An evolved version of DAIWA’s original V-JOINT, this advanced joint uses high-strength Nanoalloy® material and precision processing to create smoother bends, improved durability, and lighter overall construction. The thinner joint profile allows for a slimmer blank and enhanced casting follow-through—ideal for repetitive casting.

X45

By integrating ±45° bias layers into the traditional 0°/90° carbon weave, X45 prevents blank twisting under the dynamic stresses of casting, hook-setting, and fighting fish. The result is a significant boost in power, control, and sensitivity.

■ 종목과 체력에 맞춘 폭넓은 라인업

가벼운 싱커를 사용하는 내륙 캐스팅 대회부터 30호 싱커를 사용하는 헤비 클래스(카테고리 2, 6)까지, 대회 종목과 캐스터의 체력에 맞춰 선택할 수 있는 폭넓은 모델을 갖추었습니다. 유연한 27 모델과, 42와 44의 장점을 결합해 범용성을 높인 43 모델이 새롭게 추가되었습니다.

■ 더 슬림한 블랭크와 끊김 없는 벤드 – V-Joint α 스피곳 페룰

조인트에서의 부드러운 벤드 전이를 통해 파워 손실을 억제하고, 테이퍼 제약을 줄여 더 슬림한 블랭크 설계를 가능하게 하는 스피곳 페룰(인로 조인트) 구조를採용했습니다. 여기에 DAIWA의 V-Joint α를 적용해 로드 전반의 이음새 없는 벤드와 파워 전달을 한층 강화했습니다.

■ 초기 싱커 속도를 높이는 버트 섹션 길이 설계

독자적인 #3B 확장 버트 섹션(버트가 길게 연장된 3피스 로드) 설계로 초기 싱커 스피드를 향상시킵니다. 릴시트와 조인트 사이—파워가 가장 축적되는 구간—의 블랭크를 길게 설계하여 캐스터의 에너지 방출을 극대화하고, 확실한 캐스팅 감각을 제공합니다.

스피곳 조인트 안내: 스피곳 페룰은 조립 시 미세한 틈이 보이도록 의도적으로 설계·조정되어 있습니다. 유격이 없다면 강도와 퍼포먼스는 최적 상태이니 안심하고 사용하십시오.

■ 탁월한 복원력을 위한 3DX

블랭크 최외층에 3DX를 적용했습니다. 육각 패턴으로 직조한 3축 카본 시트가 모든 방향에서 균일한 강도를 제공하여 형상 복원력(휨 이후 빠른 복원)이 뛰어나며, 파워 캐스터도 부드럽고 컨트롤된 캐스팅을 구현할 수 있습니다.
