The fundamental performance required for the SALTIGA series has been refined with next-generation baitcasting reel technology, HYPERDRIVE DESIGN. Furthermore, the key component, the HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR, has been modified to increase the gear tooth width, delivering smoother, more powerful rotation from low to high loads. This allows you to take on larger bluefish and bottom fish. Furthermore, it reduces the load on the angler when fishing in deep waters, allowing them to experience rotation performance that exceeds that of the 21 SALTIGA IC. It also features anode protection, a first for a DAIWA IC counter reel, allowing for initial performance to be maintained for a long time. The SALTIGA IC 100/300-C is compatible with smartphone connectivity "DAIWA CONNECTED." Water depth (i.e., line length), which previously could only be determined with the IC counter and depth alarm, can now be checked with a wearable or hearable device, allowing for optimization to suit each angler's individual style. Furthermore, the doTERRA water depth display function allows for more accurate tracking of the lure's position. This improved basic performance, combined with the "improved fishing accuracy" provided by DAIWA CONNECTED, will be a powerful weapon in the battle of wits against the fish, allowing you to encounter larger fish that you've never seen before.

DAIWA CONNECTED aims to bring new value to the fishing scene by achieving easy setup, evolved functionality, and a new experience. DAIWA CONNECTED is comprised of two technologies: "electric mobile setting" and the "DAIWA Connecting System," and refers to a "reel that connects to a smartphone." The "DAIWA Connecting System," one of the DAIWA CONNECTED technologies, is installed on baitcasting reels and smelt reels. By linking the "DAIWA Connecting System" with wirelessly compatible reels (baitcasting reels and smelt reels with a "-C" at the end), the "DAIWA Connecting System" allows for function updates and the ability to check data obtained from the reel. 
Furthermore, in spring 2025, a new function that links with wearable devices (sub-displays and hearables) will be released. The DAIWA CONNECTED concept will bring new value to the fishing scene and further expand the enjoyment of fishing.

Electronic Drag Sound
"Even smoother. A high-performance drag for next-generation baitcasting reels."
This feature detects spool rotation and notifies the angler of drag activation with an electronic sound.
The conventional mechanical drag click plays an important role in notifying the angler that the drag is engaged. However, the ratchet mechanism and sound-emitting pin inside the drive gear that produce the sound create physical resistance. By eliminating this mechanical mechanism and incorporating Electronic Drag Sound, we have achieved both smoother drag performance and a more audible drag sound.

Synchro Level Wind
"Dramatically improves drag performance."
Synchro Level Wind is a mechanism that synchronizes the level wind with the line position and follows it left and right when releasing the line. Its greatest benefit is reduced resistance when releasing the line. It also improves drag smoothness.

"Unprecedented durability"
Anode protection is a technology that reduces metal corrosion. Also known as a sacrificial anode, the anode (zinc) takes on corrosion instead of the metal. By incorporating this technology into reels, corrosion is concentrated on the anode plate, maintaining durability.
*The anode protection plate installed on the 25SALTIGA IC 100/300-C cannot be replaced by the customer.
*The anode protection plate does not completely prevent rust and corrosion on the entire reel body.
*Anode protection is not maintenance-free.
*Anode protection is a consumable item. Corrosion will progress with continued use, but this is not abnormal.
*Never paint the anode protection with paint or other materials. This will destroy its corrosion protection effect. Please refrain from doing so.
*The rate at which anode protection plates corrode will vary depending on usage. Please carefully read the "Important! Care Instructions" section of the instruction manual and wash the anode protection plate with water as soon as possible after use.

Self-Replaceable Battery

No special tools are required; just a coin is all it takes to instantly open and close the cover, allowing you to change the battery yourself. Removing the battery also eliminates the need to reload the line. (CR2032 coin battery)

70-80mm Aluminum Crank Handle Arm (100-C)

Equipped with a 70-80mm aluminum crank handle with a handle arm length setting that is ideal for a variety of jigging situations, including SLJ and hairtail jigging.

130mm Aluminum Handle Arm (100P-DH-C)
"Handle arm and handle knob optimized for sensitivity and constant winding speed to detect changes in the current."
With a focus on winding performance, the new long handle is optimized for sensitivity and constant winding speed to detect changes in the current. The 130mm long handle, in particular, is specially designed to eliminate the reeling weight that comes with an increased gear ratio. While a 65mm single handle requires technique to reel consistently, the 130mm long handle allows for smooth reeling and consistent speed even at high gears. It also features a new Power Light MM knob that prioritizes grip.
