A new, compact and robust size has been added to the inshore jigging bait series! The SALTIGA 10 was designed to be a compact and robust jigging reel to handle the harsh conditions of offshore jigging, such as targeting large bluefish, rockfish, and mid-deep seas. Its basic performance has been refined with HYPERDRIVE DESIGN, making it suitable for even the most demanding inshore jigging situations. The SALTIGA 10 boasts a line capacity of 650m of PE 1.5 and 300m of PE 3, while remaining significantly more compact. Furthermore, the gear size is the same as the 15 series, with a maximum drag force of 11kg at a gear ratio of 6.3 (9kg at a gear ratio of 7.1). Its size makes palming less tiring, yet still allows for powerful subjugation of prey.

85mm T-Shaped Power Knob

Spool Lock Mechanism

This mechanism completely locks the spool and prevents it from reversing.
When trying to free a snag, pulling too forcefully can damage not only the line but also the gears and ball bearings. However, the spool lock mechanism separates the spool from the pinion gear, allowing you to cut the line without damaging the gears or ball bearings.
Easy to use:
1. Switch the spool lock lever to the ON position.
2. Disengage the clutch.
3. Once in this position, apply tension and pull to cut the line.
The key is to separate the spool from the pinion gear.

φ48mm Large Diameter Spool

The φ48mm spool is even smaller than the 15 series. Holds 650m of PE #1.5, 450m of PE #2, and 300m of PE #3.
Like the 15 size, the spool design achieves optimal balance by taking into account changes in reeling speed due to line release. This optimal line reel change provides optimal drag performance, contributing to light reeling and increased reeling power for tighter reels.

Replaceable Spool
"Easy and convenient spool replacement."
The gearbox side plate screws can be replaced by removing three screws. Having a spare spool allows for quick spool replacement in case of unexpected line breakage or depending on sea conditions.
The gearbox cover can be removed by removing the five gearbox side plate screws with the included T8 spool replacement wrench.
The side plate screws feature a locking mechanism that prevents them from coming loose even when completely loosened, preventing them from getting lost.

Reel Foot

Jigging styles vary in grip and rod reel seat shape. Therefore, like the SALTIGA 15-SJ series, the 10-SJ series features a reel body position change. By shifting the reel body 1.0mm forward compared to the SALTIGA 10 series, the grip feels more compact for slow jigging. This slow jigging special model was arrived at through repeated prototyping in 1mm and 0.1mm increments, and we hope you'll experience the 10-SJ series for yourself.
