개요

“DEFINE THE FUTURE”

The NEW Foojin’RS primarily integrates Toray’s 3rd-generation carbon materials, M40X and T1100G, into its core structure. This combination achieves incredible resilience that balances brute strength with supple, powerful elasticity. Furthermore, it incorporates the advanced "X-FORCE100" structural design—a breakthrough technology first introduced in the Foojin’Z 6th Generation. This engineering delivers highly accurate, pinpoint casting directness, an incredibly powerful casting feel, and hyper-responsive handling performance.

Stepping into a realm of performance once deemed ideal but remained just out of reach.

The 「NEW Foojin’RS」 is the physical manifestation of the future of seabass rods. This is not a mere evolution; it is the next-generation answer that redefines the very essence of fishing rods.

Technical Features & Technologies

1. Blanks

The defining characteristic of the NEW Foojin’RS is its resilient blank, which flawlessly connects intense repelling power with high flexibility. The blank is molded using the "X-FORCE100" manufacturing method (first introduced in the Foojin’Z 6th Generation), centering around Torayca® 3rd-generation carbons—M40X and T1100G—which possess both sets of distinct performance benefits. Boasting exceptional elasticity, the blank faithfully reflects the core design philosophy of the RS series, delivering stable and consistent castability regardless of the angler's skill level.

X-FORCE100 (100.0% Carbon Content)

A New Technology to Suppress Blank Twist and Maximize Real-World Performance. APIA’s proprietary "X-FORCE100" technology was first featured in the Foojin’Z 6th Generation. To resist twisting, conventional manufacturing methods layer carbon fibers in multiple directions using separate, independent prepregs. In contrast, "X-FORCE100" molds carbon fibers pre-crossed at a high-twist-resistant 45° angle into a single, unified prepreg sheet. Furthermore, it successfully eliminates the "Glass Scrim" layer previously used to back and reinforce carbon prepregs. This breakthrough gives birth to a 100% pure carbon seabass rod.

  • Key Advantages:
    • Pre-crossed 45° carbon fibers are molded into a single prepreg sheet for maximum twist resistance.
    • Drastically eliminates "carbon twisting," which is the primary cause of casting power loss.
    • 100% pure carbon blank improves vibration transmission, drastically suppressing tip wobble while heightening sensitivity.
    • Eliminates manufacturing variances through automated uniformity in the production stage.

Advanced Carbon Materials Used:

  • TORAYCA® 「M46X」 Announced in 2024, a 3rd-generation Torayca® ultra-high modulus 46-ton carbon fiber. This newly developed, high-strength 46t material achieves a compression and bending strength equivalent to conventional 40-ton carbon. It is a material dedicated to increasing casting speed and accelerating the dampening of tip recovery wobble, generating an ultra-fast flexing and snapping back movement that can only be captured via super-slow-motion photography. Formulated with premium #2574 (Nanoalloy®) resin. (Note: M46X is exclusively utilized in the DESIRE S95MH and CRESTER C93M models).
  • TORAYCA® 「M40X」 Astounding sensitivity & maneuverability that completely eliminates blank blank shake. A 40-ton high-modulus carbon fiber. This cutting-edge material was originally designed for rockets and next-generation aerospace vessels. Pursuing both tensile modulus and strength to their absolute limits, it maintains the same elastic modulus as M40J while boosting compression strength by 30%. It is a material engineered for high-rebound performance and explosive casting speed acceleration. Formulated with premium #2574 (Nanoalloy®) resin.
  • TORAYCA® 「T1100G」 The world's highest strength carbon, delivering next-level toughness & power. A 33-ton mid-modulus carbon fiber developed for rockets, F1 racing, and next-generation aerospace structures. It currently boasts the highest level of tensile strength among all existing carbon fibers in the world. Beyond its sheer durability, it is the key component that accelerates rod speed during a cast and creates a beautifully supple, progressive bend. Formulated with premium #2574 (Nanoalloy®) resin.

2. Joint

NANO JOINT

Further Evolved APIA Technology. The "NANO JOINT" is an APIA-original ferrule system utilizing Nanoalloy® technology, engineered to eliminate the stiff "dead spots" and flexing resistance that traditionally plague 2-piece rods. In the NEW Foojin’RS, every model utilizes a Put-In (spigot-over) joint configuration. This setup achieves performance—including strength, weight reduction, balance, and a seamless bending curve—that completely surpasses conventional spigot joints (Inro-継). Because the taper variance at the joint is finished via ultra-high-precision grinding down to 2/1000 to 5/1000 of a millimeter, the common issue of joints loosening or twisting out of alignment during a fishing trip has been drastically resolved.

  • Usage Note: The NANO JOINT features ultra-high-precision grinding; please use it as is without modifying.
  • Emergency Care: In the rare event that the joint becomes stuck, it may be due to carbon expansion. Thoroughly cooling the joint area with ice or cold water will cause the carbon to contract, making it easier to separate.

3. Exterior

SHIELD TECH Light

To protect the ultra-lightweight and delicate blanks from external impact, a specialized micro-scratch resistant protective tape called "Shield Tech Light" is wrapped over the blank. Combined with an un-sanded finish, it achieves a perfect, uncompromising harmony between a rugged exterior and extreme, raw blank sensitivity.

Warranty & Maintenance

APIA Premium Warranty

APIA provides a premium warranty coverage service that allows for unlimited repairs at a fixed deductible fee until 5 years after the official production discontinuation of this product model.

  • Caution: Please note that if the official warranty card is lost, the Premium Warranty coverage becomes null and void.

Storage & Care Instructions

If the rod gets wet, promptly wipe off all moisture with a dry towel. Storing the rod while wet or keeping it in environments with high temperatures and high humidity can cause "blistering" (water bubbles) to form on the painted/coated surfaces.
