By adopting a new blank design that wraps higher-modulus carbon into an ultra-slim profile, this next-generation model maintains its hallmark versatility as a 9’6” rod capable of handling a wide range of light–medium lures across diverse fields, while achieving even greater lightness, sensitivity, and the ultimate “fish-loss elimination” performance.

■ Benefits of High-Modulus Carbon

To achieve increased lightness and sensitivity, the blank incorporates higher-modulus carbon materials. This results in sharper, more responsive casting and lure manipulation, and delivers ultra-high sensitivity — to the point where you can detect when a small piece of debris catches on your hook during a long cast.

■ Ultra-Slim Design for Loss Reduction

To further reduce those frustrating lost fish, a new ultra-slim blank structure has been implemented.
While crisp and sharp during casting and lure control, once a fish is hooked the rod displays an extraordinary follow-through reminiscent of a traditional Japanese hera rod. This automatically suppresses head-shaking and jumps, reducing losses caused by torn mouths or bent hooks.

■ Blank

• Tip to mid-section:
  Uses 30-ton mid-modulus carbon as the main material to retain controlled suppleness, reinforced with TORAYCA® T1100G (Nanoalloy® technology) to remove unwanted dullness.
• Mid to butt section:
  Uses 33-ton TORAYCA® T1100G as the main material for both lightness and strength.
  Additionally, 40-ton high-modulus carbon is placed in the butt to enhance sharpness and response.
• To maximize follow-through, the belly–butt diameters are designed significantly slimmer than existing models, and 4-axis reinforcement is intentionally omitted from the butt section, pursuing seamless bending behavior.
• To take full advantage of the blank’s inherent lightness, decorative wraps near the winding check are removed, and the blank is left unpainted (unsanded) except for the butt logo.

■ Guide System

Equipped with Fuji titanium-frame Torzite guides (top guide only SiC).
Custom K-guide layout reduces line trouble and provides efficient line choking for straighter line flow, improving casting distance.

Uses a high-precision spigot joint (surface-contact type), transmitting signals from the tip to the hand with minimal loss.

■ Reel Seat Design

Fitted with a sleek black-finished Fuji VSS reel seat.
The down-locking configuration with minimal protrusions fits comfortably in the palm and enhances operational comfort.

■ Grip Design

• Lightweight split grip to reduce sleeve interference.
• Compact Quattro Cross foregrip.
• EVA center grip and end grip sized for practical, reliable control.
• Grip end features the Zephyr Original End Plate, symbolizing high quality and reliability.
