A highly responsive big bait rod designed to technically control lures in the 10 oz class.

Nicknamed the “Corona70,” this model was extensively tested in Kochi and the San’in region. It inherits the DNA of the highly acclaimed Corona80XHSC-HX, a rod that earned an outstanding reputation nationwide for big bait seabass and akame fishing.

The new model carries over the exceptional blank design of the legendary Corona80XHSC-HX, known for its excellent lure control and fighting performance, along with the dedicated PE line guide system known as the “Stro Setting.” In addition, the tip section has been made slightly stiffer while maintaining a similar power range, allowing anglers to technically manipulate giant lures up to the 300 g class with precision.

Recommended reel size is 300-class baitcasting reels from major manufacturers, paired with PE line #5–6 and 100–130 lb leaders.

The proprietary “Stro Setting” guide system delivers excellent trouble-free performance with PE lines by suppressing excessive line release, helping reduce backlash and preventing sudden line breakage during casting.
