A dedicated rod built specifically for Vertical Contact ajing from a boat. It's purpose-designed to work with aji — a fish with a soft mouth that pulls hard once it grows large — and bring it in without tearing free. It has the power to handle heavy rigs, removing the stress of numbers fishing, while its supple belly section is designed to work a large aji without letting it thrash, reducing lost fish from a torn mouth.

For more delicate control and a steadier fight
A distinctive grip design lets you make fine adjustments exactly as you intend. There's no play in your hand, giving you direct control. A separate handle, also designed slightly longer, improves the rod's overall balance and eliminates any feeling of top-heaviness, while also being easy to brace against your elbow for a steady fight.

Guide setting — A carefully worked-out guide setup for comfortably handling ultra-fine PE line. In the tip section, the #1 guide is deliberately placed close to the top to reduce line tangling. The guides are also positioned to minimize power loss in the butt, giving you the advantage when fighting a large aji.

Orange thread for improved visibility — The tip section uses fluorescent orange thread for better visibility, making even the faintest change in tension visible.
