Despite being a stiff, heavy-action rod, it uses a taper design that draws a smooth bending curve. The base material — Toray TORAYCA M40X plus aramid synthetic fiber — is combined with a drastically high taper, giving it a surprisingly light feel in hand for a 7ft rod, together with a torque-filled resilience that wells up the deeper it bends.
