A reinforced versatile model featuring added power and a regular action design. Built on a medium-modulus carbon-based structure with increased blank wall thickness, it enhances restoring power while maintaining a smooth, non-abusive regular action. This combination delivers a highly adaptable rod capable of handling a wide range of lure weights and fishing styles with ease.

It is designed not only for classic light game targets such as Aji and Mebaru, but also for a broad spectrum of fishing approaches beyond category limitations, allowing anglers to enjoy multiple species and techniques in a highly comfortable way.

NEOS-73M+R-T (Tubular Tip)

A highly versatile rod optimized for near to mid-range applications using rigs and lures up to 14g. It offers a “meaty, torque-rich” feel that provides strong loading power while maintaining excellent controllability.

It covers a wide range of techniques: jig head rigs, float rigs, mid-sinker rigs, small plugs, and light metal jigs for Aji and Mebaru. It also performs exceptionally well for black sea bream (Kurodai), rockfish using Texas rigs and free rigs, and even supports light winding-style fishing and lightweight eging applications.

Features

Blank

The blank combines refined taper engineering inherited from the ultra-sensitive Salty Sensation lineage with an aggressive blend of 24t and 30t medium-modulus carbon materials. This results in a sharp, responsive blank that smoothly bends under load while generating strong torque. To enhance lightness and sensitivity, the entire rod is finished in an unsanded, unpainted state except for the butt logo section.

Guide System

Equipped with lightweight yet highly reliable Fuji titanium-frame SiC-S guides. The tip guide avoids thread wrapping, using only minimal finishing treatment to eliminate step differences and maximize tip responsiveness.

Joint

Uses a put-over joint system designed with minimal length to achieve smooth bending characteristics while reducing overall weight.

Grip Design

The foregrip consists solely of an ultra-light carbon sleeve for maximum sensitivity.

The Fuji IPS reel seat combined with an ultra-compact EVA center grip ensures excellent vibration transmission to the palm, a natural feel without foreign sensation, and secure gripping during fights for sustained concentration.

The EVA rear grip is compactly designed to reduce unwanted movement during lure operation caused by rear-end weight. It is finished with an ultra-light Neo original end plate.
