  To prevent blank twisting during casting, actioning, hooksetting, and fighting, DAIWA's long-term research concluded that wrapping a 45° bias carbon cross (diagonal carbon fibers at ±45°) over the traditional 0° and 90° structure is optimal. Incorporating X45 eliminates blank twist, leading to dramatic leaps in power, operability, and sensitivity.

  By reducing the amount of resin even further than in standard HVF carbon, SVF Carbon packs a much higher density of carbon fibers into the blank. This material is the driver behind the series' incredible lightness, muscle-like power, and ultra-slim profile.

• AGS (Air Guide System)

  

  A revolutionary guide system featuring lightweight, rigid carbon frames.
