BREAK YOUR RECORD - Seize the Dream and Catch It -
"Someday, I'll catch that fish." The SALTIGA was born to make anglers' dreams come true. It inherits the genes of DAIWA's strongest offshore lures and continues to evolve with the latest technology. Its premise is to confront unknown giants. It continually pushes the limits of tackle, pursuing strength in every area, ease of use, and superior performance. The SALTIGA's mission is to create tackle that will reliably bring you closer to your dream fish. Continuing to fulfill its purpose is to make anglers' dreams come true. Its reliable performance supports the dreams of anglers around the world.
A larger size has been added to the jigging bait series!
To handle even more challenging conditions, the basic performance has been refined with the "HYPERDRIVE DESIGN," achieving robust reeling performance. The maximum drag force, which is important for this size, is set at 13 kg, which is designed for actual fishing. This time, we chose the "UTD" for drag tenacity. This reel features a large-diameter spool and ample line capacity, ideal for deep-sea fishing and targeting the world's largest fish, including large yellowfin tuna, kingfish, and amberjack. Despite its generous line capacity, the spool diameter, width, and frame size were carefully designed to ensure all-day use. The angler's touch point features a thumb-holding frame, allowing for less force when holding the reel. The reel also features a new, large knob shape designed for greater application. Furthermore, for unprecedented durability, it features anode protection to reduce metal corrosion. With this goal in mind, the SALTIGA35 is your ultimate tool for achieving your dreams.

HYPERDRIVE DESIGN
This next-generation design concept for baitcasting (double-ended) reels significantly improves all basic performance levels, aiming to maintain high initial performance for a long time. The Hyperdrive design is comprised of four technologies. The Hyperdrive Digigear, which provides long-lasting smooth rotation, is a prerequisite, while the Hyper Double Support assists the gear drive for strong, light reeling. The hyper-armed housing provides strong support for the internal structure, making it less likely to bend or warp. The hyper-tough clutch with an insulated structure continues to operate even in harsh locations and dramatically reduces adhesion caused by salt buildup. These synergies ensure consistent, reliable performance in any field.

HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR
A newly designed gear system pursues strong, smooth rotation for long-lasting results. By increasing the meshing rate without reducing the gear tooth module (size), which directly affects durability, this proprietary DAIWA technology ensures initial smoothness is maintained for a long time.

HYPER DOUBLE SUPPORT
A drive support system that achieves sustained smoothness and a strong, lightweight reel. By supporting both ends of the pinion gear with two highly precise ball bearings, input from the handle is not attenuated, allowing for powerful, easy reeling even under load.

HYPER ARMED HOUSING(FULL AL)
A housing system that firmly supports the internal structure with high rigidity and precision, resulting in precise reeling feel and power. Using metal for the essential frame is a prerequisite, and by combining it with the side plate and set plate, it enables basic performance to be maintained for even longer. This series uses aluminum alloy for the gear-side side plate, one-piece frame, and set plate. The full-aluminum housing is fully machined using the unique round design, achieving unparalleled strength.

HYPER TOUGH CLUTCH
This clutch system not only boasts crisp on/off performance that continues to slide thousands or even tens of thousands of times, but also operates with extremely low trouble, even in high-salt waters. Its cutting-edge insulation structure has already reduced the number of repairs due to sticking in harsh saltwater environments by 99% compared to previous models.

MAGSEALED BALL BEARING
DAIWA, using its proprietary technology, is the first in the world to successfully mag-shield the ball bearing itself. The magnetic liquid barrier prevents water and foreign matter from entering the ball bearing, maintaining the ball bearing's inherent rotational performance while significantly eliminating rust, salt buildup, and noise. One mag-shield is used on the pinion gear support section on the mechanical brake knob side, an area that is most susceptible to salt buildup and difficult to maintain. This further waterproofing and durability ensures sustained initial performance.

UTD
DAIWA's drag system eliminates initial drag bite, achieving smooth, even drag, while simultaneously delivering maximum drag force the more you tighten the system. For the 25 SALTIGA 35, we deliberately chose UTD to prioritize drag strength while maintaining waterproofing. With a standard line load, the maximum drag force reaches 13 kg with manual tightening torque. This "drag force is designed for actual fishing" allows you to fight large fish with confidence.

Drag Pull Click
"Sound Support for Close Battles"
When fighting large fish, precise drag settings are necessary. Being able to hear the drag engage when the fish suddenly charges gives anglers a significant advantage.

Thumb Holding Frame
"Shifting from a Grip to a Finger Hold"
We analyzed various anglers' grip styles to pursue a shape that fits more comfortably in the hand. We developed a thumb holding frame that provides a thumb rest position that is easy to use and reduces the risk of your fingers slipping out.The thumb position after disengaging the clutch has been carefully considered for significantly improved comfort.A completely new palming experience will revolutionize your grip.

Anode Protection
"Unprecedented durability."
Anode Protection is a technology that reduces metal corrosion. Also known as a sacrificial anode, the anode (zinc) takes on the corrosion instead of the metal. By incorporating this technology into reels, corrosion is concentrated on the anode plate, maintaining durability.

100-110mm Aluminum Crank Handle Arm
"Strong and Tough Aluminum Handle Arm"
The handle length is 100-110mm, designed for use with heavier jigs and larger fish in deeper waters. The 5mm thickness provides high rigidity, allowing for powerful jerks and reeling without flex, even with large fish.
*110mm when shipped

105mm T-Shaped Power Knob
"A large knob that maximizes the angler's power"
This T-shaped power knob is designed for comfortable handling during jerking and reeling, with a comfortable grip and various thumb placement options. Bait jigging expert Kazunari Shimizu sketched and carved the knob from scratch, creating a unique shape that's perfect for both slow jigging and fast, one-pitch jerks in deep waters.

Spool Lock Mechanism
"Line Cut Function: Perfect for Jigging"
This mechanism completely locks the spool and prevents it from rotating backward. When trying to free a snag, pulling too forcefully can damage not only the line but also the gears and ball bearings. However, the spool lock mechanism separates the spool from the pinion gear, allowing you to cut the line without damaging the gears or ball bearings.
Easy to use:
1. Switch the spool lock lever to the ON position.
2. Switch the clutch to the OFF position.
3. At this point, apply tension and cut the line.
The key is to separate the spool and pinion gear. Essential function for safety, security, and speed.

Large-diameter φ65mm spool
"Large-diameter spool for deep waters and thicker lines"
The φ65mm spool is larger than the 15 series. It can accommodate PE3-600m, PE4-500m, and PE6-300m. This allows for even larger fish and deeper fishing. Furthermore, like the 15 size, the spool shape is optimally balanced, taking into account the change in reeling speed due to line release. This optimal line reel change provides optimal drag performance and contributes to light reeling and close-in reeling power.

Spool Replacement
"Easy and convenient spool replacement."
The number of side plate screws on the gearbox side has been increased from three on the 15 series to five on the 35 series. The frame and side plate are firmly secured. By having a spare spool, you can quickly change the spool if the line suddenly breaks or depending on the sea conditions. The gearbox cover can be removed by removing the five side plate screws on the gearbox side using the included spool replacement wrench (T10). The side plate screws have a fall-proof structure that prevents them from coming loose even when completely loosened, preventing them from getting lost.

35H/35HL
This high-gear model with a gear ratio of 5.8 delivers a reeling length of 118cm per handle rotation, making it ideal for targeting large fish.
It's ideal for targeting large amberjack with a highly responsive action, or for reeling in deep waters where line release reduces the remaining PE line and reduces reeling length, making it ideal for situations where you need to move the jig firmly.
