ABU GARCIA MAX SX 1000S

A versatile, mid-range reel that inherits the compact, asymmetrical design of the ZENON and Revo series, as well as the V-Rotor and V-Spool designs. It is an all-purpose reel featuring 6+1 bearings, a screw-in handle, and an included spare aluminum spool.

Compact Asymmetrical Body
The newly developed body features completely different profiles on the left and right sides. In spinning reels, the main gear—which connects to the handle shaft and rotates—is located only on the left side. By focusing on simply enclosing this main gear, the design eliminates all unnecessary space. The result is a lightweight, compact body achieved without compromising material thickness or strength.

V-Rotor Design
By utilizing a small-diameter arbor and V-shaped wings, the design achieves reduced weight and lower rotational inertia without sacrificing strength. It offers a rotation that starts effortlessly and stops precisely.

V-Spool Design
The spool skirt primarily serves to prevent slack line from wrapping around the spool shaft. The new V-Spool design achieves significant weight reduction by slimming down this skirt section.

Rocket Management System
1. Spool Design – Abu Garcia’s proprietary Rocket Spool Lip allows line to release from the spool more smoothly and evenly.
2. Oscillation System – The slow oscillation system ensures an optimal winding angle, allowing line to be wound onto the spool more smoothly and evenly.
3. Bail – Controls the line loop optimally as it releases from the spool lip, allowing the line to pass smoothly through the rod's first stripping guide.

Screw-in Aluminum Handle
Minimizes play during attachment, making it easier to detect subtle bites.

Spare Aluminum Spool Included
Comes with a spare aluminum spool identical to the one on the reel. By spooling different lines onto each spool, you can adapt to a wide range of fishing styles.
