The #4 version retains the agility of the NSF813-6 while achieving a powerful action.

There are many scenarios where you would want to use a #4 line when enjoying dry fly fishing, whether using larger flies or targeting rainbow trout. The Infante NSF814-6 maintains the agility of the NSF813-6 but is finished with a powerful action. The testing was conducted on rainbow trout in Hokkaido, and it was capable of casting voluminous caddis tied on #4 hooks effectively, as well as landing several trout over 50 cm without any issues. Though lighter than glass or bamboo, the rod bends softly and exhibits sufficient torque. However, it's not exclusively for large rainbow trout. The NSF action, which bends well from the butt, is also recommended for Yamame when using large flies or in windy conditions, as the #4 line offers a reassuring sense of security. Moreover, being a six-piece rod, it’s easy to carry and will serve well as both a main rod on trips and a backup rod.
