DAIWA Neostage DG J63B-4G
Overview
From bluefish to bottom fish... a specialized electric jigging rod aiming for a wide range of targets has appeared.
Electric jigging tackle typically tends to be brought onto a boat in just one set, so versatility to handle various situations with just one rod is crucial. The NEOSTAGE DG introduced this time offers two types, but they differ only in action. Both are designed to be user-friendly for electric jigging with PE3-4 line and jigs weighing 150-300g, which are commonly used.
The "J60B-4" prioritizes jig maneuverability, featuring a slightly stiffer blank. It's ideal for those who want to move jigs firmly, whether targeting bottom fish or pelagic species like kingfish.
On the other hand, the "J63B-4G" is made of glass composite, offering the same strength but with a slightly more flexible action. It's excellent for targeting species like amberjack with high-speed electric jerking, providing good hooksets and minimal risk of losing fish. Additionally, its low recoil is gentle on the body, making it highly recommended for those lacking confidence in their physical stamina.
Both models are likely to surprise users with their power given their slim build. Moreover, they are reasonably priced, making them highly recommended for anyone who has been boat fishing before or is considering transitioning from manual jigging to electric jigging.
Neo Stage DG J63B-4G
A body-friendly electric jigging model with low recoil blank. Compatible with commonly used PE3-4 line and 200-300g jigs. Mainly composed of glass material, J63B-4G is designed to maintain power while providing a very flexible action. Particularly effective during high-speed retrieval, the rod absorbs irregular jig actions, enticing fish with natural, smooth movements. Its flexibility also aids in absorbing runs during hook-ups, reducing the risk of losing fish. Furthermore, the low elasticity of the glass material significantly reduces fatigue even with continuous fishing compared to J60B-4, making it especially recommended for anglers lacking confidence in their physical stamina.
